I havent posted a thread in a few years now, but I hadnt seen this posted already and it seems like it should be getting attention. My apologies if I missed where it has already been posted. Pretty convincing if you believe your own eyes and trumps any 'science' about masks I have seen to date. Its only a 2:55 video.

If you actually look at the video, it does NOT "pass right through the mask material". I've seen a couple of videos pretty much identical to this, and the all show precisely the same.
Point 2....the particles generated by "vaping" bear zero chemical similarity to the liquid drops produced by the human body.
The only "truth" of the video is that it is propaganda..

Mine is also very hole-y and breathe-able — cross-stitch fabric, with no lining. Thankfully, I HAVE to wear one maybe once a week at the most. It says: “UNDER DURESS”.
You are being told to wear the mask because it is supposed to protect you (or the other person, they cant decide which), and yet it clearly does not. Now you want to argue its XX% effective? That kind of argument can get you employment in the weather prediction business or government. People keep saying follow the science, well show us the science for Pete’s sake.

I live in a mask mandated state. State and local officials don't cite any studies. It is pretty much do as I say or else.
It also prevent the surgeon from getting the patients blood or body fluid in his or her mouth... stuff can and does spurt in surgery all the time
PeopleS longevity is not uncommon into 70 and 80s.
A death caused by COVID to this population is no less a death caused by the virus just because the person was old.

The fact is that masks reduce or mitigate some exchange of viral material.
This is common sense and why all sorts of masks are worn for a variety of occupations.
The current anti maskers reminds me of the anti vaxxers, another group of selfish people who are caught up in conspiracy nonsense to the detriment of common sense.
She is protecting herself as a vulnerable population member. She apparently thinks not getting the virus is more important than having the freedom to roam around town exposing herself to a disease that in her case would likely kill her if she caught it.
I am hard pressed to say her actions are irrational.
Nobody likes being cooped up. The problem is vulnerable populations don’t get a second chance at survival. Are you going to be the one to tell these people just take a chance?

No...there is no vapor going THROUGH the mask. All of the similar videos show exactly the same thing...clouds of fog emitting from sides, bottom and top, but none actually through the material.

Uh, no, it ISN'T water....it is polyethylene glycol. Totally different properties. WATER adheres to most fabrics.
