That’s so sad about your sister. Having OCD makes her even more vulnerable to irrational fear of WuFlu. (I have a friend who’s experiencing this, too.) They believe the government’s numbers.
I know this is days after you responded to my comment about my sister. I thank you for taking the time to empathize with my situation with her. Im happy to report that I FaceTimed with her yesterday, and I am much more hopeful now than I was after I FaceTimed with her a couple of weeks ago.
Since our last talk, she has decided that she did need to get out of the house, and start walking a few blocks every day. This alone is HUGE progress on her part! She has finally purchased quercetin and zinc, vitamin C, and Vitamin D3. She has added these to her routine.
For the first time since the shutdowns, I could see her eyes sparkle and she smiled and laughed. I think she is beginning to have hope again, that she can take back her life, a little bit at a time. She admires my bravery and she says I am helping her understand about CoVid and about how we need to make our bodies as fit as we can so that we are prepared to deal with it, should we get infected at our age.
It is good to be hopeful again. It has been very hard to see loved ones retreat so harshly that theyve become hermits, people who are otherwise in decent health. These lockdowns have been devastating to people with mental illness like my sister. Just thought you might like to have an update.
