But I think the revolution if it comes, would be due to attempts to confiscate guns. That’ll touch off citizen vs state. The military, I hope, would come down on the side of the Constitution.
I can’t think of any organized force that would fight for confiscation of guns: not police, not FBI, not Federal agents. Therefore, gunowers would be made illegal, but not arrested.
I have a doctor acquaintance who has a lot of teachers as patients.
She says they’re talking about drawing up wills; not a word about how to keep the kids safe, just overblown paranoia about how THEY’LL do.

I can promise you that my son is not lazy....he has been back at school since Aug. 4. Teaches 5th grade math. They will start teaching remotely on Aug. 27 and in school on Sept. 8. He and the other teachers are there trying to make sure all will run smoothly. Even though they have been given very few answers about what the plan is if they have a student fall ill or they themselves do. We’re in Texas. No teacher union. Unions are illegal here. I read posts like yours and just feel like giving up....

I’m old enough to have been brought up with the idea that teaching was a vocation.
Now, I’m not so sure. In fact, how often do you even encounter the word “vocation” in any context these days.
