I call BS. I don’t believe those stats.
Maybe 15% of the women at Business Insider slept with their bosses.

I dunno. I’ve been in business for a long time.
Including about a decade in a female-dominated industry.
15% of your workforce being brazen sluts seems about right to me.

The headline does not match the story.

The story says, 15% of women "at the director level"

15% of women at the director level or above...

These were "professional" women... (wink, wink...)

It’s probably true in a way. I learned how to read stats like this when I was in high school back in ‘71. I was seeing these crazy high high school dropout rates, yet VERY few dropped out when I was in high school. Now that I think about it, the number in my school of a class of several hundred was zero.

But then I discovered there were some high schools where half (or more) never finished. Suddenly it made sense. If you are in a room where half the men are five feet tall, and the other half are 6 feet tall, the average is 5.5, even though there isn’t a man in the room that is that hight.

i.e. there are probably a lot of businesses where this is uber-common and others where it is extremely rare. I’m thinking it happens a lot in strip clubs, restaurants and bars...

I call BS. I don’t believe those stats.

I worked in Big Corporate for 23 years - I believe them. That 63% of the 15% for whom it did not work are the ones filing all of the #MeToo lawsuits. They intend to get the cash, one way or another.

The survey is of women at director level or above.

People who work their way up to that level tend to be the most ambitious of the ambitious.

15% is 1 in 6. A huge number when you think about it.

That 15% was also the women that ADMITTED it. I’m guessing the real number was higher.

Not sure if I buy into those stats either. I've been with my company over 30 years, most of that time in a management role. It is career death for a manager to engage in a sexual relationship with a subordinate and it is drummed into us annually with those required sexual harrassment training courses we have to all take.

It's happened just a few times in my company that I am aware of and in each instance, the manager was unceremoniously relieved of his position and walked out the door. We have over 10,000 employees nationwide so even if there were others I am not aware of, I see no way we get anywhere near the 15% cited here. And I'm talking a 30 year period!

At least in my company, this is a rare event. But then again, I work for a button-down conservative outfit with a professional and highly involved HR operation. I guess if I worked for a Hollywood studio or was in politics, the percentages would be much higher.

Totally agree. This is utter BS. And why did this poll suddenly arise? Could it be a lame attempt to protect Heels up Harris?

Fifteen percent sounds about right to me.

Sometimes it is cloaked under "dating" but sooner or later you see them take a jump in the queue that is definitely not performance related.

There are plenty of evil women who have no shame sleeping their way to the top for money and power.

I bet 90% of sleazy male CEO’s have slept with countless women within their respective companies as well.

These are but symptoms of why America is dying quickly.

I call BS. I don’t believe those stats..

One thing I learned in the military and later while teaching, is that women can be sexual predators too.

They have the additional advantage of then choosing to become the victim based on society's prejudices.

IMO This poll says exactly that.
