"LANCASTER -- Video surveillance may have caught what police believe was the moment of the abduction of Linda Stoltzfoos. And based on video evidence discussed at a preliminary hearing today, as well as the accounts of several witnesses who told investigators they saw a Red Kia with an Amish girl in the passenger seat, Magisterial District Judge Denise Commins found there was enough evidence for charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment to move forward to Lancaster County Court for Justo Smoker."

Numerous witnesses told investigators they saw an Amish girl riding in the car in her church clothes, which would be unusual on a Sunday, Jones testified.
Jones testified that Stoltzfoos was happy with her life in the Amish community and never expressed a desire to leave. Her bank records show her account has been untouched since her disappearance.
According to further testimony today, state police were investigating a suspicious-vehicle report from two days after Stoltzfoos disappearance. The caller took had taken photos of a red Kia parked near the woods behind a business in a remote area of the township.
Police investigated that area and found a bra and stockings buried there. A plastic zip tie was found nearby.

If it was my daughter or granddaughter, I’d have this guy BEGGING me to let him show me what he’d done with her inside of a half hour...
I don’t get this sentence:
“Numerous witnesses told investigators they saw an Amish girl riding in the car in her church clothes, which would be unusual on a Sunday,”
Of course not, it (black on white violent crime - likely rape & murder) doesnt fit their narrative.
It probably should be “not be unusual”.
An Amish person in a car on Sunday might be unusual. Don’t they ride around in horse driven conveyances?
I misread it. Yes, they ride in horse and buggies. It would be unusual for an Amish female to be riding in a car.
apparently there is a large latino community in the Lancaster area now.....I’ve had several sweet nieces grow up there...
BLM
There are large Latino communities in Lancaster and Reading.
Some of the most concentrated Amish communities lie in between those cities.
They will ride in cars but can not operate them.
As my central -PA husband says, Mennonites drive the cars and Amish ride with them to work.
I think it means the Amish won’t ride in cars on Sunday in their church clothes. They would be going to church in their buggies.
I’m thinking of the Dirty Harry football field scene where he shoots Scorpio in the leg, and then steps on the wound until Scorpio tells him what he wants to know.
Of course you would.
I agree, not looking good at all. Let’s pray for the best though.
In our area there is a tractor pulling a truck bed and camper on the back through town. If you look close you can see Amish women setting in the camper.
