Gavin Newsom says $300 a week in added unemployment benefits is not enough, but he’ll take it

resident Donald Trump’s current proposal for additional unemployment benefits of $300 a week just doesn’t go far enough, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said during a Wednesday press conference.

But he said he won’t “look a gift horse in the mouth” now that Trump has said states do not have to come up with another $100 a week on their own. The Democratic governor said he’s working on how California can process the $300 in the president’s proposal “as quickly and efficiently as possible.”

The $600 in weekly additional federal unemployment benefits expired at the end of July, and Congress and the White House have been deadlocked in negotiations to extend some or all of that amount.

Last I remember max unemployment in CA was 425 a week (of course this was long ago, but we can safely assume it hasn’t gone down)

425 a week plus 300 is 725/wk. 52 weeks is 37,700/yr. This, using the lowest of all numbers involved....... at 2088 hrs in a work year, they are getting just north of 18/hr for NOT WORKING.

This champion of open borders and illegal aliens in California is costing California $30 BILLION PER YEAR....YES BILLION with a “B”.

And this typical radical Marxist governor has the guts to complain about the amount of money the federal government GIVES TO THE STATE. Typical Democrat PIG.

Gavin Newsom says $300 a week in added unemployment benefits is not enough, but he’ll take it

If Gavin is really concerned he can certainly augment the amount from the California treasury, and if money is tight, then drop some of the cash being spent on the illegal alien foreign invaders to make up the difference.

“If it had been $1000 a week he’d have said, “It’s not enough!”

He better push hard. At the rate he is losing control of the state for these antics, he’ll be unemployed after the next election. And for him, just for his haircuts, it ain’t enough.

Newsom might need some of that $$$$$ himself-—to bring his property taxes up to date. He is chronically delinquent. He just paid a PENALTY of over $2700 on one tax bill....he owns multiple California properties.

I WAS NEVER LATE with my property taxes.
