Is that about what you expected?
better than i feared.
Farmer losing, LaCourciere losing, fabulous.
Moore is an incumbent and the NARAL keynote speaker this year. That would be a stunning loss for the left.
conservatives:
Duff never had a chance.
I think Townsley will squeak by. that primary got nasty.
How can 83,000+ (by now I’m sure) people be stupid enough to vote for Ilhan Omar?
Oh, Democrats. Never mind.
New MN poll from Emerson, Biden up only 2, Tina Smith rat Senator up only 3 over Former GOP Congressman Jason Lewis. If accurate, having that Senate seat in play is a game changer (not to mention the electoral votes).
and 70% of her district is upper middle class white people. Make it, make sense.
Minnesota would be a great pickup for the President. And so would gaining a Senate seat.
Don’t get your hopes up. Minnesota has not voted for a Republican candidate in 44 years. It elected Ilhan Omar and Keith Ellison. It was the only state to vote against Ronald Reagan in 1984.
It has a loooooooooooooong history of idiocy.
Report on the 7 Communists running for state legislature in Connecticut, in competitive primaries:
Lost LaCourciere, New Britain
Lost Wong, Bloomfield
Lost: Farmer, Hamden
won: Farrar, West Hartford
Moore, leading by 2%
won: Felipe, got the ABs
lost: Barr
I think the Commies will end up with 2 wins out of 7. And lose the big one, Moore. INcumbent Senator.
She challenged the Mayor in a primary last Sept. He backed Brown now and has an mail ballot operation ... which will beat Moore. results on Thursday.
The DEMS did more to defeat the lefties than the Grass Roots RIGHT did in the whole state. THe Right dont have one victory to show. THey didnt do much work.
That is a lot of voters for a congressional primary.
200,000 out of 700,000 I dont think that is a lot of voters!!
I saw that too.
Lewis has been working it really hard. For the last few months, he’s been going back and forth across rural Minnesota on an RV tour. More recently, he’s started hitting the 3rd ring suburbs.
He also has not been afraid to go into the inner cities of Minneapolis-St Paul.
We made Front Page News
Thanks for pointing out that this thread made Front Page News.
I’ll remember to look there going forward,
Hard to believe Omar throttled her primary opponent so soundly.
OTOH, nice to see Lewis might have a good shot at unseating Smith. That would be crucial to keeping the Upper Chamber in GOP hands.
200,000 in a primary is a heavy turnout - in fact, it is a very heavy turnout. Why don't you compare that turnout, to the other districts in Minnesota? You can do it really quickly. And the number does not even include vote by mail, so yes, it was a very heavy turnout.
Gilmer leads by 10 votes. If he wins, Anderson can get an automatic recount.
I think it is best if Anderson skips the recount ... avoid more publicity on this dumpster fire. Anderson then tells the vacancy committee that he’d like to be considered.
But, I think it will play out differently.
2 House primaries GOP in CT. And the winners will turn out to be a guy arraigned on violent felonies, who dropped out, and an LGBT gal who says, “leading in the middle is where most people are now.
Our other 3 districts have quality candidates.
Friends don’t let friends drive to Connecticut.
based on press reports, two scenarios:
1) Gilmer wins, Anderson says he wants recount. GOP eventually names another candidate. Not Anderson.
2. Anderson wins. Gilmer skips recount. GOP stuck with Anderson.
Do we even know who won all of the congressional primaries in CT yet, due to this inane universal mail-in voting? Are they actually STILL counting the votes??
Total insanity. If we can all go to the the supermarket, and just about everywhere else these days, we can show up in a polling place in person (like my husband and I and everyone we know did) and vote! Those who are severely compromised / sick, etc. can apply for a traditional absentee ballot for November 3rd.
OMG
Friends dont let friends drive to Connecticut.
Amen to that!
