My neighborhood was nice and quiet, too.
Then, a half block from my house, less than an hour before I got home from graveyard shift, three people were murdered in their house.

I started the process for a silencer purchase that week.
That was six years ago.
I keep hoping for that fault in the Azores to give way and send that 300 foot tsunami into DC.
Maybe the trouble started because somebody forgot the pot for cooking the people.
Went there 100 yrs ago, never gave a thought for my safety.
Is the same true today?
It was Southeast DC. For anyone remotely familiar with DC no further information is needed.
That is truly sad.
The inmates have taken over the asylum.
To the tune of about 95% of black deaths are committed by blacks.
Black males- 7% of the population, commit 48% of the homicides.

It wasn’t an illegal gun. It was an undocumented gun.
Some years ago I had swat team members running through my back yard. They were working their way under cover to surround a house across the street. They ordered me to go inside. The woman psychologist across the street had threatened to kill herself and maybe her husband.
It all ended without any gun fire, but for a while there was excitement. Been pretty dull since then.
I’ve spent a lot of time there. My daughter lives there. Not going again, maybe ever.
I recall that being about like Castro Street in San Francisco.
Air & Space is really cool too. Udvar-Hazy annex as well but I think that’s outside DC.

No.. not black males. 5 year olds and 70 year olds aren’t committing the murders. Its black males between say 15 and 30. And not the ones who go to church and get good educations. So actually it’s probably worse... 1 or 1.5% doing half of America’s murders.

It is DC. Almost all guns are illegal and anyone who possesses one (except for a very few well-connected VIPs) is therefore a criminal.
