WASHINGTON -- State Sen. Pat Fallon was elected Saturday afternoon by 144 Republican officials from northeast Texas to replace Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe as the GOP nominee on the ballot for Texas 4th Congressional District, likely sending the Prosper Republican to Washington as the districts next representative.
Fallon, who represents District 30 in the Texas Senate, beat out 17 other candidates with 82 votes from the 144 voting GOP county and precinct chairs who live in the district, needing only one round to secure a majority. The chairs gathered Saturday afternoon at the Hopkins County Civic Center for more than 3 hours in Sulphur Springs to vote in the unusual election.

Fallon will face Democratic nominee Russell Foster in November, but the conservative will be heavily favored running in a district where Ratcliffe received more than three-quarters of the vote in 2018 and nearly 90% of the vote in 2016.
We and us, now from this day forward, in the 4th Congressional District are united to beat the socialists because everything that our ancestors built is under threat, Fallon said.

Texas State Senator Pat Fallon is a USAF officer veteran, who "is committed to limited government, low taxes, religious liberty, personal responsibility, the 2nd Amendment, property rights, government transparency, and protecting life."
He has a consistent, strong Constitutional conservative voting record in the Texas Senate.
Is this seat an expected hold?
Yes
Our local (Atlanta, Cass County) Mayor, Travis Ransom -- an Army Reserve Counterintelligence CSM (a good conservative and personal friend) came in third with 16 votes.
Fallon won on the first ballot due to strong support from the (heavily populatd) portion of the Dallas Metroplex that is in District 4. And, US Senator Ted Cruz showing up to personally endorse him didn't hurt his support, either...

so you are really a spooky GOP “Activist”...
Will he be a great congressman?
You might say that... The GOP organization in our (Cass) county is actually the local "Patriots" group that began with the Tea Party. No "GOPe RINOs" in these here Piney Woods!
FWIW, my "HRC Video" was first created for our Patriots group -- as a "PowerPoint" presentation...
But, we're still stuck with TXGOP rules when it comes to things like official (voting) Committee member designations... :-(
Anyhow, looks like we're going to have an adequate replacement for Ratcliffe!
TXnMA
Bravo!

I've been lucky since I retired back home in "God's Country": I've had Gohmert and Ratcliffe as my US Congress Reps. They're tough acts to follow...
Pat Fallon looks good as a Texas State Senator; we can only pray that Washington doesn't "get to" him...

Thanks for asking! :-)

LOL...I only read the top line, before I asked.
Glad you’re back home, in TX.
