Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Praises Company For Firing Woman Who Posted “All Lives Matter” on Facebook
Summit News ^ | 08/05/2020 | Paul Joseph Watson

Libertarian Party presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen praised a company for firing an employee who had posted “all lives matter” on her private Facebook page as an example of the free market standing up against “systemic racism.”

Yes, really.

During a C-SPAN interview, Jorgensen argued that Rosa Parks was discriminated against because, “what a lot of people don’t realize is that that was a government-owned, government-run bus, and the only way that racism was able to go on for so long was the government was putting it into place.”

She then claimed that it’s harder for private companies to engage in ‘systemic racism’ because they would go out of business, before celebrating the fact that a woman lost her job for posting “all lives matter” on her Facebook page.

“There was a woman who on her private Facebook — this was highly publicized — her private Facebook put ‘All Lives Matter,’ and the company fired her,” Jorgensen stated.

“And what I’d like to make note of she wasn’t talking to or wasn’t tweeting a coworker, an employee, a customer, a client, anybody like that, and this was her private Facebook, not the company Facebook, and yet the company said ‘OK, we don’t tolerate that.'”

Maybe someone should point out to Jorgensen that saying “all lives matter” isn’t remotely racist and that disagreeing with this statement is in fact a racist position.

Under her ideal system, woke corporations would feel even more empowered to trample free speech, opening up millions more Americans to be viciously targeted by cancel culture mobs who intimidate and bully companies into policing their employees’ behavior.

Under her ideal system, woke corporations would feel even more empowered to trample free speech, opening up millions more Americans to be viciously targeted by cancel culture mobs who intimidate and bully companies into policing their employees’ behavior.

Jorgensen also claimed that “private companies cannot discriminate as easily and get off as scot-free as the federal government.”

Presumably she missed the last 4 years of rampant social media censorship, which has overwhelming targeted libertarians and conservatives.

No wonder the Libertarian Party is a national joke.

Jorgensen makes Gary Johnson look like a bastion of logic and credibility.

The left has found the ultimate way to work around our right to free speech: Get privately owned companies to violate it, and then giggle as we find no recourse.

The Libertarians started losing what Conservatism they had when their “Liberal” libertarian sense led them into support of abortion, open borders and a “utopian” form of Libertarian thinking that ignores that Libertarian ideas cannot exist in a political vacuum and requires a limited government framework with strong support for the rule of law, not men. Minus the last part, Libertarian ideas can only be applied where all the land is owned by Libertarians or in anarchy. They have made their prospects of being a major party impossible.

“Libertarian” is a bastardized term.

If Biden won't debate president Trump should invite all the 3rd party candidates to debate, just to have democrats sitting on the outside.

Just like the marxist candidate Joe Biden supports BLM terrorists and their activities - type of thing but I'm sure the president would add some zing.

OTOH it goes both ways. I find out you are a BLM lover I should have no problem firing you.

"Should." Do you really believe that's how it works?

Just a reminder of whom Liberal-tarians actually are. They are basically Democrats who are too ashamed to say they are Democrats. Many here complain that a Liberal-tarian took votes from a Republican and cause the GOPer to lose a close race- bull feathers! The truth is without the Liberaltarian the Democrat would have won be a bigger margin in most cases. They believe in very little that intersects with conservatism. And don’t tell me anything the right to be lift alone. That is a basic right all thinking people have, even some Democrats when they want to kill babies.

There are Libertarians who are obsessed with one particular leaf on one tree and they don’t even know there is a forest. The Libertarian Party specializes in this.

I don't think they're afraid of the title. They are simply coming to us as wolves in sheep's clothing. They are dishonest. And they're all over FR. In this thread. Especially in the pro dope threads.

They're open borders. Pro abortion. Pro homosexuality. Pro illicit narcotics. They're a despicable group.

Yet, they're allowed on FR. Go figure.

Anarocho-communists and anarchists are not the same thing.

Anarcho-communists believe that you must destroy everything to usher in communism. That seems to be exactly what antifa and BLM are doing. They have a good PR system in place that has convinced many it’s about black lives but it’s only about the destruction of the US and its way of life so they can implement communism.

You said “libertarians” are “liberals”.

In the classic definition of liberal, they are.

Our founders were “liberals”.

“what a lot of people don’t realize is that that was a government-owned, government-run bus, and the only way that racism was able to go on for so long was the government was putting it into place.”

Actually it was owned and run by National City Lines. I haven't found out if it was contracted by the city to run or allowed a franchise by the city (like a city paying a cable company to provide TV to all its residents vs. allowing a cable company, maybe exclusively, to run wires and sell to residents).

From a strictly libertarian sense I can see her argument: it should not be a matter of law who a company hires or fires and without an explicit contract the company can fire you at any time for any reason. Similarly if I hire some people to mow my yard every week but later on find out they are the local branch of the KKK then I can fire them - unless I had a contract to pay them for the entire year. However from a strictly libertarian argument, you could hire and fire based on race, sex, age or anything else. Only the government would have to provide all services equally.

Would this candidate say that companies should be allowed to fire anyone who attends one of these Black Lives Matter® "peaceful protests"? That might answer if she is a closet liberal or a strict libertarian.
