House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slammed the executive actions President Trump took this weekend to provide assistance for Americans struggling amid the coronavirus as weak and an "illusion" on "Fox News Sunday" with Chris Wallace, as she defended Democrats' stance asking for trillions more in aid as negotiations with the White House and Senate Republicans have stalled.
"No, in fact, what the president did is -- I agreed what the Republican senator said -- is unconstitutional slop," Pelosi, D-Calif, said, alluding to a statement Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., put out criticizing Trump's executive actions.
She also emphasized the alleged "weakness" of Trump's orders.
"While it has the illusion of saying we're going to have a moratorium on evictions, it says I'm gonna ask the folks in charge to study if that's feasible. While he says he's going to do the payroll tax, what he's doing is undermining Social Security and Medicare, so these are illusions," Pelosi said.

If we are just throwing around money might as well throw some to seniors.

And anyone who complains that the President has exceeded his legal authority with this “payroll tax holiday” simply doesn’t understand how Federal taxes work.

When you have taxes withheld from your paycheck, it’s based on a withholding schedule established by the U.S. Treasury Department, not by Congress. That’s because Congress gave this authority to the Treasury Secretary under the Internal Revenue Code.
So Congress can tell you that you must pay 6.25% of your income in FICA taxes, but it’s the Treasury Secretary who tells you whether you must have it deducted from every paycheck or whether you pay it all at one time at the end of the year.
I thought the weakness was by design. Trying to spend money we don’t have shouldn’t get through or pass.

Pelosi stuck in provisions banning Voter ID and expanding Mail In Voting while eliminating Signature Verification for those Mail In Ballots in her Kung Flu Bill.
The Bill is thousands of pages long. It is a Leftist Wet Dream come true. I’m sure it covers laundering the Sheets as well.
