Didn’t read the article ;) but part of the problem probably comes from the mask wearer having to breathe out of their mouth instead of their nose in order to get enough oxygen to survive. :(

My friend has a rash above her upper lip from wearing a mask. Ad she only wore it for a very short time.

I was at Costco today...I had a mask on...But, my nose was not completely covered...Some guy told me that my nose should be completely covered...No, he was NOT a Costco employee...
I did not say anything in response...I just got far away from that guy...

The new report says a reluctance to attend A&E and difficulties accessing medical assistance likely meant that for every three deaths from coronavirus itself, a further two occurred because of the wider impact of the lockdown.
The findings provide a possible explanation for the prime minister’s recent claim that another full national lockdown would only be considered as a “nuclear option”...
The estimates, made by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and analysts from several government departments, suggest there were 38,500 excess deaths in England connected to COVID-19 between March and 1 May.
However, the report concludes 41% of those deaths were the result of missed medical care rather than the virus itself.
Of the 16,000 deaths, the paper estimates 6,000 were as a result of a “significant reduction in A&E attendances and emergency admissions”...
Overall the analysis estimates there could be a total of 81,500 non-coronavirus excess deaths over the next 50 years as a result of longer waiting times for non-urgent elective care, as well as increased deprivation resulting from a deep recession.
The document was presented to the government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) last month, but was only released on Friday.

Fewer than 20% of folks I see wearing masks are even close to wearing them properly.
These mask debates (say it quickly, it’s more accurate about what the masks do) show no sign of abating, and are utterly pointless.
I had a whole diatribe, but realized that properly informed people already know what I was going to say, and the willfully naive and poorly informed will ignore me anyway since their minds are already made up.

I had to buy something in Costco today for someone in my family...A Costco employee would stop me if I try to enter the warehouse without wearing a mask...
After a while, I did get a little uncomfortable with my mask...
I live in California...I cannot go into grocery stores without wearing a mask...I have to go into grocery stores from time to time...
I am not a fan of a mask mandate...But, I have to buy things at grocery stores...
