Plenty of suckers still want to pay to be abused.
Are they going to pump in artificial fan noise and cheering on NFL games, the way baseball broadcasts are doing that?
A football game with an empty stadium is just a scrimmage.
Pretty good chance it would have been empty against the Lions anyway.
The NFL is still around ?
I have placed my Green Bay Packers shareholder certificate in a nondescript box and it’s sitting in a corner of my attic. I removed it from it’s place of honor in my study where my flag and print of “Reflections” by Lee Teter hang. The NFL is dead to me from this point, forward.
What about the owners? Did they ban them too? Not the fake stockholders who paid three hundred bucks a few years ago to get a useless stock share, but the four hundred or so actual stock holders. I don’t know how their stockholder ticket deals work, but if they were able to each bring their immediate families with them, just having VIPs there would put a few thousand butts in seats.
What is this “NFL”? Some ancient barbarian rite?
They could have at least had a lottery and put a few hundred in there. Start with the longest standing season ticket holders and move down from there.
Fine.
fans can ban the NFL.
How’s that going to work out for you?
Yeah, blame it on the epidemic.
Check out the empty seats this season. Check out the
viewership on cable, or online.
Sponsors are going to flee this sinking ship like rats from
the Titanic.
Pro sports is dead to me.
If I want to watch some woke a-holes, I’ll turn on the
tube or go online. I won’t tune into what used to be
American football.
Wait until they realize that Blacks are not monolithic about
BLM either. They’ve just gotten a big belly-full of more
dead, less police, less services in their area, and fewer
jobs too.
Wait until the inevitable payroll adjustments.
The highest paid people in the U. S. (or close to it), will
have killed the golden goose.
I can’t wait to hear that blamed on racism too.
I’ll be ROTF LMAO.
That is ~ a $70M revenue hit per home game for the Packers and a ~$20M hit to the local economy per game..
Wait a minute. IIRC, Packers are owned by the people of Green Bay. Did they ban themselves?
it was said a few years ago that nfl, nba, mlb are over-saturated with games available during season,, making it not so special like it used to be..
nfl thursday night, sunday day/night, monday night, saturday games in the uk,
Listen, Peeps. I am a die-hard Packer Fan, good years and bad, since 1963 when I was old enough to figure out the game.
I will always be a Reggie White Girl, and was simply AMAZED the two times I got to see games at Lambeau Field. It was like being in church.
If you really like the game, I encourage all of you that aren’t quite ready to let go, to cheer for the Green Bay Packers. We are the ONLY team in the NFL that is sole OWNED by their fans.
When that ends, ALL football ends for me.
UW Madison Badger Football (college) will be played but with NO fans in the seats. FOR THE WHOLE SEASON.
Wisconsin is in mourning - but it’s soon to get seriously p*ssed because this @#$%^&*! PLAN-demic is doing so much damage to us all - mind, body and soul.
The NFL players, coaches, and owners - they're all pawns. They're useful idiots. They simply do not realize that the Communist Left wants them destroyed because sports represent racial harmony and capitalism.
I live here in Packer country, near Green Bay actually. It's just sad that on Sundays people aren't going to get together and knock down a few brews and tailgate this year.
