COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — In a second test administered Thursday in Columbus, Governor Mike DeWine tested negative for COVID-19. First Lady Fran DeWine and staff members also all tested negative for COVID-19, according to the governor’s office. The negative test comes on the same day Gov. DeWine tested positive after he took a test for COVID-19 as part of the standard protocol to greet President Donald Trump on the tarmac at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland.

To me, it sounds like DeWine has already had CoVid, didn’t know he had it, and recovered from it.

So the test is bogus and all data based on testing should be thrown out, but since he was tested twice the results will be counted as two positives in the administration state database.

Different tests tell different things; different test protocols tell different things.
Wish I had more confidence in the professionals who know these differences.

The antigen test is very, very quick.
Surprised even a VIP could get the PCR results so quickly.

If I remember correctly, the PCR test is slower but more accurate.

I would imagine that it could be done that fast because the President was landing soon. Otherwise, maybe not.

It’s likely a late false positive. Remember that this is a lower respiratory tract infection so it takes up to 90 days to turn over the lowest parts of this system. We are alternating positive and negative for up to three months. This means he had the disease and cleared it most likely as the test checks for any virus particle even if dead or inactivated

The President probably just goes by the antigen test. It’s good at catching infectious cases.
There are so many tests, I could be mistaken.
The test I’m thinking of is done in a lab and takes a while. ( May be a PCT?)

Or someone else- reporter or staff- could be mistaken. It is confusing.

Maybe someone trained in the field will drop by.
