Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in a recent interview that people in the United States are “entitled” and “complacent” while Chinese citizens are “smart” and “hard-working people.”
CNBC reports that in a recent interview with Automotive News’ “Daily Drive” podcast, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk complained of the “entitled” and “complacent” character of U.S. citizens while praising the “smart” and “hard-working” people of China. This is far from the first time that Musk has cozied up to communist China.
Musk criticized New York and California, states that have both gone to extreme lengths to support Musk’s businesses with tax breaks, regulatory credits, and regular government help. Breitbart News has reported extensively on the government subsidies that Musk and his companies have taken advantage of.
Jason Stein, the publisher of Automotive News who conducted the interview with Musk, asked him “How about China as an EV strategy leader in the world?” to which Musk replied: “China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People there – there’s like a lot of smart, hard-working people. And they’re really — they’re not entitled, they’re not complacent, whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.”

He also overlooks the fact that China has been stealing our intellectual property for decades. Maybe he’ll sing a different tune when they steal his technology.
He’s not even the CEO of SpaceX, if he goes it would be as a passenger, not a front runner. Kinda like the goofy Branson will do with Virgin Galactic.
Saying good things about the Chinese people is not the same as saying good things about the Chinese government.

Musk is trying to make it out like they’re better than us on this. Its because they don’t flipping care ifthy lose people, they got 1.3 bilion and frankly one less is one less they have to feed and control.
The govt systems are apples and oranges and therefore hismcomparison is not a valid one.

No. He’s talking about Millenials in California and NY and other leftist locals. He’s not wrong about them. Not at all. They are for the most part entitled, lazy, spoiled brats. Products of our entirely dysfunctional, entitled, and lazy Public Education system and their liberal parents.
They are the ones rioting on the left coast, St. Louis, and NYC.
He is somewhat correct about certain Americans but, he should never be allowed to do any business with China.

I found in working with these men and women that,almost universally,they were brilliant in their chosen field but didn't have the first clue what the world outside the hospital was about.They were awkward,single minded...almost robot-like.
I'll take a reasonably well educated and a reasonably well rounded individual over a genius any day!
Tesla...say hello to GM,Ford,Toyota,Honda,VW,Mercedes,BMW,Jaguar...
Tesla is not as far out there as SpaceX, but they still have a solid edge.. Probably moreso than say Apple.
Chinese People have a very good reason to work hard, they want to stay alive.
