HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Nearly one week after city police sought the public’s help in identifying a woman who viciously shoved a 54-year-old woman inside a Staples who previously underwent liver transplant surgery and asked the assailant to wear her facial mask properly, police have made an arrest.
Today, City Detectives arrested Terri Thomas, a 25-year-old Hackensack resident, and charged her with aggravated assault, a second-degree crime. She is due in Central Judicial Municipal Court in Hackensack at the end of the month.
"Detectives Demetrius Carroll, Ioannis Papanikolaou, and James Han, in particular, all did a fantastic job," said Detective Captain Darrin DeWitt in a news release. "I also thank the Hackensack Staples store and the Staples corporate office for their cooperation, which was crucial in solving the case. I must add, Staples' employees immediately called 911 and tended to the victim within seconds of the assault. Unfortunately, the video clip that was released ends just prior to them helping her.”

In my neck of the woods, the customers and biz rivals call the cops. And the cops have scared the snot outta local biz.
It would be interesting to know, though, if businesses that cater to people of color get a pass on being fined and/or closed.
Note to some enterprising journo worthy of the job decscription: how about checking to see if, percentage-wise, more white-owned businesses are being victimized by the state than minority-owned.
The lady pointing the cane did incite the Amish lady by pointing the cane and by upbraiding her. However, I doubt the cane lady has many friends, judging by her demeanor.

Is that what you saw? I saw a frail (and probably frightened) woman with a suppressed immune system from a recent liver transplant holding up her cane to attempt to keep an aggressive angry woman at a distance. But then I’m not a “you dissin’ me?” type of person.
Divisions of powers varies among the states.
In general, most Eastern states have legislated their Governors such power. The West seems to lean toward giving more local powers.

See what WuFlu has done to our thinking? Think about if the liver-transplant cane-bully lady had come in to Staples in January. She would have been wearing a mask because of her surgery; that’s normal. But nobody else would have been. Would she have stood outside and demanded that everyone in the store don a mask before she came in? Of course not. That would be ridiculous.
See how f**ked up we’ve become since February or March? This isn’t REAL. We cannot go on living like this.

It really doesn’t matter that the arrested female is black here, hell I expect most of the Karen’s out there are white women. Blacks aren’t as vigilant about COVID as whites. White women in general are losing their collective minds over this scam!
I’m not really sure what I saw. It looked like those plexiglass barriers were set up to keep customers away from each other and the one younger woman breached that barrier which startled the older woman. The older woman held up the cane to maintain distance and was then thrown to the ground.
The main thing is do not go inside a barrier that is set up for safety and that looks like thats what happened.
