HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Nearly one week after city police sought the publics help in identifying a woman who viciously shoved a 54-year-old woman inside a Staples who previously underwent liver transplant surgery and asked the assailant to wear her facial mask properly, police have made an arrest.
Today, City Detectives arrested Terri Thomas, a 25-year-old Hackensack resident, and charged her with aggravated assault, a second-degree crime. She is due in Central Judicial Municipal Court in Hackensack at the end of the month.
"Detectives Demetrius Carroll, Ioannis Papanikolaou, and James Han, in particular, all did a fantastic job," said Detective Captain Darrin DeWitt in a news release. "I also thank the Hackensack Staples store and the Staples corporate office for their cooperation, which was crucial in solving the case. I must add, Staples' employees immediately called 911 and tended to the victim within seconds of the assault. Unfortunately, the video clip that was released ends just prior to them helping her.

Let me guess, an orthodox Asian Pennsylvania dutch resident ............again!
The old lady with the liver transplant started it - but shes obviously nuts, and the younger woman should just have ignored her. But people are under a lot of pressure these days and it doesnt take much to set them off.
As for the older lady, if she just had a liver transplant and feels fragile, she should stay home. She was just there to make copies, not to buy vital food before she starved to death, and Im sure she could have gotten somebody to do her copying for her.
Snort. The employees just stood there.
” asked the assailant to wear her facial mask properly, “
Amazed at the Freepers who are willing to publicly declare this a horrible crime!
]Nothing matters to them but their dogma.
On the other hand, discretion is the better part of valor, and I would suggest that a transplant patient with a high probability of a compromised immune system would do well to avoid verbal confrontations likely to become physical.
All she did was axe her to put a mask on - then TWA turn into beating with attitude.
Speaking of the employees...
Why was the perp allowed in the store without a mask on, hmmm?
I can guess why.
It's a DNA thing with the young one. That's the defense I'd go with.
People don’t realize how ridiculously fascist they sound when they demand, and I mean demand, others wear their mask properly or cover their nose. Some people have issues with covering their noses!
If that was your Mother you might think differently.
“The employees just stood there.”
The majority of people are beta types. Passive, accepting, compliant. Maybe one in ten is an alpha and I suspect you won’t find many alphas working in places like Staples. I think they tend to be cops or engineers or managers.
It always amazed me that when leadership was required, regardless of the venue, usually nobody stepped forward. Many times I stepped forward and offered to lead and was embraced. You will find that if one person steps forward in a tense situation that several others will offer support. But those supporters will not, themselves step forward. That’s just the kind of animal we are.
Where is the video?
Of course it’s “fascist” to expect people to obey the law...
Obviously, all you “BLM whatevers” believe that.
And the media supports you.
Seriously. Yeah, there are good reasons for people to not wear masks.
But this lady was attacked.
absolutely!!!
if she was my mom I’d go make copies for her so she could stay home.
Wal-Mart, OTOH, expects it greeters to tackle customers that do not wear a mask.
I think that most states leave the berating to uniformed security and police officers.
Whom they have just defunded.
Hmmm ....
Welk, to be fair to employees and now that I think about it, if the vic was known to the employees as a transplant patient and a Karen, they might have been worried about getting within 6 feet if her to help. It would be interesting to know if Staples has issued any guidance to employees on how to aid a customer in need in the time of WuFlu.
This is such a cluster.
I saw an asshole poking somone with a cane and getting push back.
