Thats what I was thinking too. I saw a video taken by someone who had been filming the original fire from quite some distance, and you could see a lot of port workers bustling all over the place. When the second explosion came, all you could see was a huge fireball and then things flying through the air, at which point the video ended.
There were also a lot of firemen working the original fire scene, and of course they are all gone.
Reminds me of seeing half a case of very sweaty TNT in
a friends basement 40 years ago. He had a license for it
but had just forgotten it was there.
After I forcefully brought it to his attention ,
he took it out and burned it. It would have wasted
the neighborhood.
Nothing worse than a nitrate headache!
Classic!
Facts on this dangerous depot, which has existed since 2014 or the past six years, will be announced.
= = =
Just who has been drooling and licking their chops, planning and waiting . . . . . . ?
Meanwhile, proper military protocal stores their explosives in smaller quantities and at separated distances.
That little girl sure gets around at historic events, and never ages.
2750 tonnes...
That’s roughly 3 kilotons... the amount of explosive in a small tactical nuke, and about 1/5 of the Hiroshima A-bomb.
Wow.
And if this ammonium nitrate was for agricultural use, why store it in downtown Beirut? Hmmmm?
All much like Texas City. A smaller blast that killed hundreds.
“Video taken by residents showed a fire raging at the port, sending up a giant column of smoke, illuminated by flashes of what appear to be fireworks. Local TV stations reported that a fireworks warehouse was involved.”
Yea right. You don’t film firecrackers going off from 5 miles away, as was the case with many of the videos. They look silly.
My thought is that The Jew (Bibi) is doing a bit of final ‘housekeeping’ before leaving office and having to hand the keys to a Leftist. He’s probably thinking that, as happens here all the time, that the country’s voters needs to ‘cleanse their guilt’ by having a Leftist in power, and then they’ll will FINALLY learn what that means (for maybe a decade, at best). During that time, he doesn’t want Israel being wiped off the map.
Who / why stockpiles over 6 years of ammonium nitrate fertilizer in a busy seaport, next to a fireworks factory?
The Pentagon got it wrong. Again.
Sounds suspiciously like the secondary device senario attempted by the Columbine massacre conspirators.
Something which first responders have been worried about for a long time...
Indded, I agree.... Although I did notice in some of the videos of the aftermath, that, as they wandered through damaged apartment buildings and offices that there was a distinct lack of furniture.
If I was a bigger tin hatter, I might think that there was something significant about that.
“The president of Lebanon said on Twitter that 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate was stored in a warehouse for six years without safety measures.”
Nice. No lesson learned from Texas City 1947.
Cell discussion in Tehran —
Oops...
Wrong wire...
All powerful Mr. A.K., prophet of alluhah, we didn’t know Akmed was colorblind.
That looked liked a hydrogen Bomb!
What would one use to denature nitro sweatthe Kaolin clay powder used to manufacture porcelain, or would diatomaceous earth work?
