A South Africa update and it's not pretty; A country once the 'bread basket of Africa' is Turning into another Venezuela fast

In 2018, Tucker Carlson highlighted the expropriation of land from White farmers in South Africa. He stated "[a]s land seizures based on skin color shows, South Africa is once again becoming a place where an entire group of people is targeted for discrimination and violence on the basis of their skin color."

Twenty-six years ago, "South Africans engaged in a peaceful revolution. As late as the 1980s commentators predicted that any transition from white minority domination and black majority rule would precipitate a bloody civil war. Instead, in 1994 South Africans replaced president F. W. de Klerk with Nelson Mandela in a free and fair election that astonished the world." Thus, ". . . South Africans of all races voted in the country's first democratic elections, choosing Mandela as their first black president. The inhumane apartheid regime seemed to be miraculously ending peacefully, though much work remained to improve the lives of all South Africans." By the "late 1980s, however, South Africa’s economy was in a deep recession and large segments of the country were becoming ungovernable."

Former president Jacob Zuma (2009-18) "brought the country a reputation for corruption and ineptitude." In fact, in 2018, the World Bank ranked South Africa as the most corrupt country in the world.

In 2018, Hammond and Tupy "in reviewing South Africa's flirtation with the idea of changing its constitution to let the state expropriate farmland without compensation, wrote that South Africa need only look north to Zimbabwe to see the disastrous consequences of this kind of policy." Zimbabwe's former dictator Robert Mugabe gave "the green light to his paramilitary supporters to invade commercial farms, seize some 23 million acres of land and the confiscated farms were resettled with small scale agriculturalists.

“They also should burn and destroy their own property as they go.”

Fear not my friend. Since Mandela took over the ignorance in how to run and manage the fruitful and profitable farms left behind by the Africanners is taking care of that. Yes they now have the land and all that goes with farming but haven’t the slightest idea how to run them. These farms not only were producing a national export they were also feeding the country...no more.

What was astonishing about it?

The blacks won, the whites lost.

Yep, salt the fields and destroy all seeds and equipment.
I’m sure they’ll be fine.
It’s the cradle of civilization after all.
I mean, they were doing high science while we were living in caves...

“I thought the “Bread Basket of Africa” was Rhodesia?”

It was, until the country was renamed Zimbabwe and the white farmers were either killed or they fled.

I’m sure Zimbabwe will be fine, as all cultures are equal.

***The ANC had set a goal of returning 30% of white-owned land to black farmers,***

From “CUT, SLASH, BURN” agricultural system in which it was up to the women to farm, as the men considered themselves Warriors, to a major food producing country in which white farmers did the production, back to a “CUT, SLASH, BURN” agricultural system in which they can produce no more food than they did before the Boer came, in just a few years.

Why is it that when white people exploit black people, there is development and prosperity, and when black people exploit black people there is devastation and failure?

Just a reminder to stock up on the better SA white wines while you can.
No need to be concerned about diamonds, top quality stones are now made synthetically.

Want a homegrown lab experiment? Ban all white people from owning NBA, NFL and MLB sports teams. Black and minority owners only. Players would kiss their mega million$ bye bye and perhaps their careers too.

Men from a black church in Dallas came to visit us a few years ago. They stepped out to look at our wood shop out back, where I make furniture on the side.
They were amazed. Nobody back home has a shop or makes stuff, they said. There’s a big factor.
