The city of Portland, Ore. is fining the federal government $500 for every 15 minutes it maintains unpermitted fencing outside of the federal courthouse that has faced nightly attacks amid ongoing protests and rioting.
City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly said in a statement Tuesday that the fencing is obstructing the street outside of the courthouse. As of Monday, she said, the federal government owed Portland $192,000.
"We intend to collect," said Eudaly, who added that she was "committed to doing everything in my power to end this federal occupation and move forward with our community's reckoning with racial injustice and our efforts to transform our approach to policing and public safety."

Yep, into a communist country. Several phrases really upset me. When George H W said we were going to have a kinder, gentler nation, and the biggest one, is when the Obungler said we were going to fundamentally transform America. I figured that can’t be good, and it wasn’t.

Trump can beat the criminals running the city BY PLAYING BY THE RULES... Trump needs to stand his ground and start arresting ‘protestors’ who attack federal property. Then he needs to get Barr to draw up ways to sue the city for the costs....

The feds can tell them to pound sand. When the feds buy property, they aren’t subject to state or local law with that property, although they will try to match them (zoning, etc.).

Very good point. Therefore, the Feds should clearout all records and anything of use from the building, then level it and cart away the debris.
Then inform the city of Portland that they no longer warrant the Federal services that were provided from that building. Henceforth, the city and people of Portland will have travel to XXXXXX, the nearest location at which the desired services may be provided. Never build any Federal facilities in Portland. May it wither on the vine.
No, my point is to strengthen the federal presence and to remove the terrorists by any means.

Trump should bill the city of Oregon millions for all the extra efforts the federal government has had to take to defend a federal courthouse; efforts required by the refusal of Portland city officials to give their own police the tools to do that job themselves.

Wait for the return bill from the US DOJ to Portland City Government for not reducing the riots and violence directed at the courthouse... this is more symbolic than actual reality ...
