A Gallup poll released Monday found that 34% of people in the U.S. identified as conservative in May and June. That's compared to 40% who identified as conservative in January, which was a tie for the highest percentage Gallup has recorded in the past six years.

I’d sure like to know how they are getting this data.
My list of blocked phone numbers is now 10x the size of my contact list.

Given the hatred and doxing of conservatives, people are not identifying as conservatives, not responding to polls. Result is a GIGO poll results.

as long as the GOPe is identified with the term ‘conservative’ I don’t blame them...
IMO, it’s time to move beyond the conservative/liberal paradigm. This isn’t the 20th century anymore...
We need to attract far more young people into our ranks and combo over conservative isn’t appealing.

The correct survey result would be that more conservatives refuse to answer pollsters.
To: ChicagoConservative27
This is probably true. The number of people who
are conservative probably has increased. They're just not outing themselves for fear of backlash. I don't see any Trump2020 bumper stickers anywhere and I don't have one.
Let more fake news like this propagate. Give the left a false sense of advantage and maybe more of them will stay home on 11-3.
To: ChicagoConservative27
Exactly....In all probability, the opposite is most likely the truth.

I’d be in fear of my job if I answered that I am a conservative. I suspect there are a lot of us in the same position.
I’ve made it a rule of thumb to never answer polls, I don’t need to be doxxed to my employer.

Who gives truthful information to phone polls anymore? Maybe I'm paranoid, but I think you have to be naive to think that anything you say or disclose about yourself is ultimately shared, and permanently.
