The Cancel Culture is now aiming its guns at a popular local restaurant in Stillwater, Oklahoma, because of its name – Eskimo Joe’s. Eskimo Joe’s is a very successful local restaurant, founded in 1975, and has become quite well-known outside of the Sooner State.
Its iconic shirts, featuring a smiling Eskimo and his faithful dog, Bucky, are so popular that the company has a clothing store right next to the restaurant.
So what's the problem? A petition is circulating, attacking the restaurant for its name and its logo.

When I was in college, I lived across Duck Street from Eskimo Joe's. Until they tore the building down.
This sounds like the fuss over a Colorado restaurant chain a few years ago with a Latino spin to it like “Sneaky Pete’s” or something like that. What became of them?
Start pointing out that the white liberals are doing everything they can to erase everything various people of ethnicity from the cultural lexicon. Decades favorite pancake syrup; gone. Excellent rice side dish; gone. A favorite ice cream snack on a summer's day; gone. Can't celebrate people's African ancestry now, because they are "black". It's not called "African-American Lives Matter" now is it? If I was an American whose ethnicity mattered more than my American-ness, I'd be mad as heck!

The thought hit me today that liberals are worse than the preachiest evangelist and yet they *DEMAND* that everyone hold the same moral view that they do. Other than a few topics like abortion, Christians are not nearly this bold.
Muslim refugees who were taken in by the Germans immediately demanded their hosts stop celebrating Oktoberfest because they, the Muslims, were offended by all the beer drinking. That's the boldness (some would say nerve) they have in attacking our culture.
Since when did being offended take precedence over the freedom of others to do as they please?

That is the new ad slogan of Dove brand/Unilever. How long before there are protests and boycotts? How many will like the slogan and buy Unilever?
You may have heard the recent ‘renaming’ internet petition concerning the Aldi Nord grocery chain of Trader Joe’s where certain ‘international’ foods bear ethnic names of “Trader Giotto’s”, “Trader José” and “Trader Ming’s”. The grocery chain hurriedly stated that they were already in a multi-year long process of removing these ‘ethnic’ names labeled as racist by the petition author.
Less known is that this author is a California high-school senior, Briones Bedell, and the number of signers is in the low thousands. So, just the fact that there is a petition and that there are people signing said petition, has little to do with actual facts or logic. Referencing Eskimo in Oklahoma is more likely to make me think of “Ice Cold Air” in temps of 100+ degrees that very far north “First Peoples” (Canadian Reference)! So this restaurant should emulate Fishkill, NY in their dispute with PETA, a single finger salute!
