Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday accused Democrats of deliberately seeking to extend coronavirus lockdowns of businesses and schools so that President Trump suffers politically ahead of the presidential election.
Democratic-aligned teachers' unions have remained opposed to opening schools. In Los Angeles, the teachers' union has made overtly political demands as part of its reopening plan, including defunding the police, taxing the wealthy, implementing a moratorium on charter schools, providing "Medicare-for-all," and obtaining more federal funding.
"We're 100 days out from the presidential election -- the only objective Democrats have is to defeat Donald Trump," Cruz told CBS News' "Face the Nation," anchored by Margaret Brennan. "And they've cynically decided [the] best way to defeat Donald Trump is shut down every business in America, shut down every school in America."

Cruz specifically took issue with Democrats' plan for a new coronavirus relief bill, which Congress is expected to take up this week. Brennan noted that top Republicans and the White House have also signaled support for a new round of stimulus relief, including $1,200 stimulus checks and tax credits for businesses. Top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow also suggested Sunday the White House would extend the federal eviction moratorium.
But, Cruz urged them to focus on a broader recovery bill.
"The policy that [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are pushing adds an additional $600 a week of federal money to unemployment," Cruz said. "Except, the problem is, for 68 percent of people receiving it right now, they are being paid more on unemployment than they made in their job."

Although I’m not a real fan of FISA, I do wish we could surveil Pelosi or the Biden campaign and uncover conversations in which closing the country for political gain were actually discussed. Wouldn’t that make for a nice October surprise?
Yes. The talking heads that tell people how to think about stuff are currently advising everyone to panic. You need to distance. You need to shut down. You need a vaccine.
Around about Nov 5, all of the talking heads that tell people how to think about stuff are going to look at the statistics and thoughtfully say, “We’ve turned a corner. It’s not as bad as it was. I think things can go back to normal.”
It will be like a magic trick.
Forgot who said, but if the Clintons were brought down, they would take the whole government with them. So be it!

Maybe the teachers and govt workers that have been pushing ‘virtual’ learning/work should start receiving virtual paychecks.
See how strong the Union is if and when people are told they don’t show up for ‘real face time’ work the pay will stop.
Since the shut down the ‘authorized’ day care centers and the govt looks upon hired ‘baby sitters’ that watch your children while YOU work as ‘criminal activity’ it will force one working parent to stay home, further ‘hurting’ the economy.
I remember when my wife came home one night and said that the Government ‘authorized’ getting a tax break if you had to hire a baby sitter.
I told her not to bother and she never really did ‘understand’ till I spelled out that when the baby sitters name showed up as ONLY a babysitter, ‘they’ would be calling on her to pay taxes on what she earned and would either get out of the business or raise rates to cover the tax and you can figure the state would step in.
It took a while but finally did sink in.

there’s no way the pivot can be that blatant; the prog establishment is already plotting how to revive the economy should Biden win, they know it has to be rapid, but people are fickle, and they may not like being played for fools...
a month of wearing masks and bars being closed has to happen, just to make it look legit; but one thing we can certainly count on; the swing in the media coverage...the best place to see this is the top of the hour news on radio broadcasts; it is breathless and endless gloom and doom now, but with a Biden victory, the theme will focus on all the renewed hope and vigor and the bounce in everybody’s step...

Democrats are deliberately trying to wreck the country because they think that somehow will get people to vote for them.
Add this to the fact that all areas run by Democrats are disasters. It's clear that EVERY SINGLE ONE of them needs to be voted out of office, if our nation is to survive.
And they should be criminally charged for ordering CCP virus patients to be put in with the elderly in nursing homes and denying and threatening doctors wanting to prescribe HCL.
