Fox News host Tucker Carlson said during his show on Friday that once-conservative news aggregator Matt Drudge of “The Drudge Report” is “now firmly a man of the progressive Left,” noting that his site has taken on a decidedly anti-President Trump bent in recent months...

“What happened to Matt Drudge?” Carlson asked, introducing Lysiak, author of the new book, “The Drudge Revolution,” which will be released next week.
The biographer suggested that the turnaround could be an economic decision — Drudge figuring he can make more money bashing the president rather than backing him for reelection.
“I think one of the mistakes a lot of people have when they’re trying to analyze Matt Drudge is they try looking at him strictly through a political sphere,” the biographer said.
“The reality is…his loyalty isn’t any political party or ideas, it’s just to his website,” Lysiak added.

You have no idea. I am a County Supervisor. This thing is on my agenda every single day. The morbid tally board. The testing. Don’t get me started about the testing. THERE IS NO REASON TO TEST HEALTHY PEOPLE. Yet, there we are. You know how much money is not being made from all of this. Don’t believe anything. The only number to even watch is the death numbers and I don’t even trust those anymore.
There’s not a single thing in all that rambling innuendo that proves Matt sold his site.

Coulter and Drudge are good friends. The direction of his site could maybe pass for something out of her mouth, but his attacks on him do appear to be more coming from the left than the right. So, who knows. The rumors heI haven’t clicked on him in many months and hope the site goes bankrupt.

but somebody should tell Matt that his report is not standing out now, its just one of the many media outlets set on destroying our president....

Maybe it is an economical decision but if has been a political one, it has always been my feeling that if the Washington Repubs had been FIGHTERS and supported Trump and fought the lawless Dems, his sight would have stayed primarily conservative and PRO-AMERICAN. My two cents...

Repeating something over and over doesn’t make it so. If it were common knowledge, it wouldn’t have to asked.

I asked you for sources on this common knowledge. You cut and pasted something with obvious lies in from God knows where. The claim doesn’t hold up under any serious research.
Doubt it has much to do with money. Drudge is an LA homosexual and probably was under intense pressure from the gay community to drop any support for conservatives or conservative values.

Kind of hard for anyone to give a direct source when the word is that their is a not disclosure agreement. Drudge can tell anyone he sold it until after the election sometime. The reason for that is so that the leftist’s who bought it wanted conservative to stick around and be brainwashed.
If there’s no reliable source, the claim shouldn’t be made.
I don’t care about Drudge. I’m just tired of watching critical thinking being replaced with lazy “that feels about right” thinking. We used to have a bastion of critical thinkers here who could back up their claims without acting annoyed.
There is an azzload of money out there working against Trump. They’ll turn as many as they can before November.

The rumor is that Matt Drudge is no longer affiliated with the website and those he sold it to have taken this turn themselves. However, he likely signed a nondisclosure agreement about the sale, as the news that he is no longer affiliated with it would have damaged the value of the purchase.
There’s no proof of this, but that has been the suspicion. It could explain why he hasn’t been personally seen or heard from in some time.
