San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Sam Coonrod was the only player who refused to take a knee prior to the national anthem Thursday, nor did he bow to the Black Lives Matter agenda.
After the game, Coonrod explained why he refused to join his teammates in supplication to the leftist agenda, saying that he “can’t kneel before anything besides God.”
Coonrod also noted that he does not support many of the goals of the leftist Black Lives Matter political agenda.

Baseball contracts are all guaranteed. But the woke “fans” will demand his release or demotion to the minors - which has no season this year.
I just became a fan of Sam Coonrod.

Good on him and that would be my response. I work at a place that loves all these ribbon days in which they virtue signal their wokeness or support for many issues. I told my wife the other week “You know I wont wear their ribbons, even if they sack me for it” nor will I kneel for them. To me if you give in at the level of ribbons then it wont be long until they force you to kneel! Thankfully my wife supports me in it!

He might also find himself with problems in the locker room. Unpleasant conversations, his locker vandalized, etc. But if it’s any consolation, were he a football player his problems would be MUCH worse.
Are any fans in the stadium? So it really doesn’t matter if there are protests against the kneeling, right?
If they do, hope he does a Nick Sandman on them.
I’m glad for him. A decent man. But it will not save baseball. I wish nothing less than absolute financial ruin for MLB.
I have a theory that those that are disrespecting the flag & anthem are not the children of veterans.

The worst are the United Way fund drives. “We’re shooting for 100% participation this year! Let’s everybody chip in!”
I do not respect the United Way, and will not give them a penny. So I get a little “reminder”. But that’s as far as it goes. No threats. A strong union does come in handy sometimes.
Will soon become a hate crime if you don’t kneel.

This country, it’s constitution, represented by the flag, honored by the Anthem, allows us, including this guy whoever he is, to practice Christianity.
