I’m not even going to get into lack of marksmanship and gun-handling skills on the part of some police. My dad, who was a WWII veteran and deputy sheriff, told me long ago that if I was ever in a mall or store and a police officer ever pulled his gun, I should hit the ground “..because there is no telling where it’s going.”
Moi!
I am still here! And I still shop there!
Buy their new KEY LIME PIE!!! its amazing!

I have not been inside that TRADER JOE’S in a long time...
In any case, I do not like the parking lot for the store...
I would prefer to park in the lot for the market across the store...It’s bigger...
I think you told us that you actually met Mayor of Los Angeles after you came out of the store...
yes. And Gelsons is on to you ...parking in their lot! but, please feel free.
I was there yesterday and Hyperion, out front, was closed down for a BLM rally ...or party. it was mostly bands and dancing!
This is where our society is headed :
the police are demonized. Technology will replace the police with remote controled robots.

I think RoboCop (1987) was a fine movie...
Ah yes, the Dorner snipe hunt:

I do remember that incident...In Torrance...
LAPD officers were in Torrance, patrolling near the house of some LAPD officer...
A mother and her daughter were inside that truck...They did get some compensation from City of Los Angeles...
yes. And Gelsons is on to you ...parking in their lot! but, please feel free.

I would go into Gelsons for a few minutes...Then come out...Go across the street to Trader Joe’s...
Ah, great strategy!!!!
More like “hit the deck and crawl behind solid cover.” Some are just that bad.
And none of the officers involved were ever held responsible.
If memory serves, Dorner was driving a gray Nissan pickup, so of course those cops thought a blue Toyota might be him with enough certainty to shoot it up.
For those who have delivered newspapers from a moving vehicle, here is your paragraph:
Now the dem politicians are being sued.
I love it.
I dont much care for this spray and pray stuff. Im a believer that the police should carry a six-shot revolver and maybe a speed-loader instead of high-capacity autos (like they used to do). They should make up for lack of fire power with range time (and no cheating on qualifying). I wouldnt be adverse to them carrying a bolt-action rifle like the (original?) Italian carabinieri for long distance accuracy.
You’re responsible for your shot. Honestly this situation is part of the problem. Police get that special protection, so when they miss and wind up killing a bystander it’s “unfortunate”. A civilian fires that same shot it’s manslaughter. The people with all the training and equipment should not be held less responsible.
That’s the one.
They also shot up at least one more vehicle. The two Mexican ladies were just out delivering the morning paper when they were “protected”.
Wasn’t one of our FReeper ladies in Trader Joe’s when that happened?
To paraphrase Ron White,” The police weren’t profiling, they were shooting everything on four wheels.”
