When a university police chief hosted an online diversity event, students and faculty were outraged to see a pro-law enforcement flag in his office. Shortly after the event, the chief issued a public apology and promised to remove the flag.

Instead I said nothing and hoped nobody forced the issue by asking me to join the discussion. These things are immensely uncomfortable for a portion of the population and businesses know that, they just don't care. In fact, they keep making them worse and worse. It's only a matter of time before they force us to kiss a gay pride flag and swear fealty to BLM or explain to all our coworkers why we won't and let them decide our fates.

Do employers have a legal right to violate your 1st Amendment rights? That is what is happening here.
The police are going to have to stand on one side or the other.
Our side is law and order, living in nonviolent tolerance, respect for law enforcement with proper insurance that they also follow the law, and belief that honoring the US Constitution and keeping America free is worth the effort.
Other side is acceptance of CHOP and other anarchy, sanctuary cities defying federal law, allowing Marxist anti-American BLM (read it’s mission statements and leaders’ quotes) to take over, destruction of homes and buildings out of angry spite,allowing thugs to surround cars and trap drivers and families inside, and supporting deliberate targeting and ambushing of officers to beat and often kill them (several case in past two years alone).
No middle, squishy cowardly Kasich-Bush family style wimp-out allowed. One or the other.
Feel bad for ya. I’ve been retired since 2011 and I still remember the useless yearly diversity crap we were required to attend. Probably went on for 10 or 11 of the last years before I bailed out. As usual there were a couple of folks who found it beneficial(?) but the majority, not so much. Must be worse now. Always had to be careful about comments made that could be overheard. Even if they were meaningless to you and who you were conversing with.
Yes, unless they are a government entity, and probably not if they receive government funding.
Private sector entities can violate away, but would need to be prepared to deal with any 1A or economic pushback.
Say nothing when there is a room foll of snowflakes encouraging you to bare your soul. Nothing!
Especially if they are in state universities paid for by public funds?

So, a thinking person would ask themself, if they will follow an order to stand down and watch you get assaulted, How likely is it they will follow an order to assault you?
