Sub-title: If you've ever wanted to tickle your brain, now is your chance.
Rite Aid came out with its do-it-yourself COVID-19 test in April. This is a viral test, meaning it will tell you if you have the virus. It is not an antibody test. And when Rite Aid first made the announcement, the test was only for those with COVID-19 symptoms. You had to fill out an online questionnaire to determine your eligibility. And I had no symptoms, so I wasnt eligible.
But just recently, Rite Aid changed its policy. Now, anybody can sign up for the test. And the test is free. There is no charge. So, knowing that people are always asking where and how they can get tested, I signed up. And, public interest aside, it would obviously be good to know if I have COVID-19, even though I feel fine.

Whats the point? As if a negative result alerts the whole world that you dont need to wear a mask and then you wouldnt have to wear one anywhere? Because, you know, the mask is for others protection, not yours, since protecting others is your problem now, not theirs. Jeez...
The Simon and Schuster print edition for 2020 pits the kid and his family in an upstate New York nursing home where they all die of dysentery and the county health officials burned the Rabbit and his friend the old horse. Black Lives Matter burned the estate to the ground with Molotov cocktails because the kid was white and didn't apologise for being so.
The End.
I believe the virus (as opposed to antibodies to it) is present detectably in blood only in advanced ICU-level cases that have progressed beyond respiratory infection to blood and organs. Not where you want to be.
Thanks.
I don’t think it harms you, but it’s very uncomfortable. It may be hard to do it to yourself.
BTTT!!!
Check my tagline!
I had it when admitted to the hospital. Felt like they were going to pull my left eyeball out, and the roof of my head was coming off! Maybe just sensitive sinuses. But was shocked by the pain. Not one to use pain meds.
Lol. Testing for decades. When the snotty kids start back to school all of the tests dectect any related coronavirus as COVID. Its ridiculous. Bilateral pneumonia is the true deadly covid 19. All others are just related. Now you know why positive people don’t have antibodies. They has a different coronavirus.

Not frickin interested, whole dam thing is being played by paranoia, politics and social control brainwashing.
Never ever trust the Media or a politician with numbers.
“Social control brainwashing”
Well put! Describes the current panic to a T.
It would have saved the lady from Kentucky a lot of grief (the one under house arrest with the ankle monitor)
My experience just like yours, along with a painfful tickling sensation that lingered even after removal of the swab.
Those liberal despots in the KY supreme court sure hosed us the other day, didn’t they. Took then, what, an hour or two to reinstate King Andy’s communist edicts after the lower court ruled against him?
First thing I say when I enter a store is “I have a medical exemption”. Not been challenged on it yet. See, what our beloved ruler Andy did not say was what his medical exemption was exactly. And medical privacy laws allow for me to refuse to answer if asked.
Yes, wish there were an antibody test one could get OTC. I hope they are reliable. Who knows?
Time for the 1st annual FR “is it BS?”test. Start swabing things like apple juice, sour cream, pickel brine, give them phony names and send it in for testing. I’ll bet they will all come back positive!
I took the Rite Aid test about 10 days ago. At my site, you just drive up to the Pharmacy window, they give you a swab, and you swipe the inside of both nostrils in a circular motion about 10 times and put it back in the tube and hand it back. My result was negative. I had no symptoms but wanted to test after flying by plane to visit elderly parents. It’s not an antibody test, it’s a test if you are currently infected.

That gave me a flashback to a water filter company spamming the neighborhood with bags containing a water test kit hanging off the mailbox.
Fill up the container with tap water, fill out the form and leave it on the mailbox for pick up the next day.
I filled it with distilled water. A couple of days later they called to tell me my water had unsafe levels of coliform bacteria and iron and recommended I purchase one of their water filters.
