I had it when admitted to the hospital. Felt like they were going to pull my left eyeball out, and the roof of my head was coming off! Maybe just sensitive sinuses. But was shocked by the pain. Not one to use pain meds.

Not one to use pain meds. My experience just like yours, along with a painfful tickling sensation that lingered even after removal of the swab.
