Federal law enforcement officers have been using unmarked vehicles to drive around downtown Portland and detain protesters since at least July 14. Personal accounts and multiple videos posted online show the officers driving up to people, detaining individuals with no explanation of why they are being arrested, and driving off.

These are widely viewed as training exercises either for the feds or for the terrorists.

Why would that be better? I think it's much better to have the personnel and their vehicles in public view, as rag tag as they might appear to you.

I notice that these ‘unidentified men’ making the ‘arrests,’ like the street theater “guardsmen” early on in the rioting, always seem to have a problem finding matching uniforms or wearing their gear in a consistent way. There is in fact, an awful lot of inconsistency in equipment and dress that seems ...unprofessional, as if it is a production staged by a hired street theater company on a tight budget. One guy in the photos is wearing VC black like he forgot his uniform was at the cleaners and had to go to work in his pajamas.

Question: What federal law enforcement agency wears a uniform that simply identifies the agency as “Police,” as opposed to FBI, U.S. Marshall, ATF, MP, etc.?
