Authorities in Georgia say an enraged father took things too far and crossed a line, resulting in his arrest, after he found a grown man in his 14-year-old daughter's bedroom.
Ismael Casillas, 41, has been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly attacking and severely beating 20-year-old Keywontrezes Humphries in the early hours of July 4 after finding the man at the family's home in Coweta County.
Casillas is accused of knocking out and chipping several of Humphries' teeth, and choking the young man.
Investigators with the sheriff's office said that had Casillas allowed the unwelcome guest to leave after the thrashing, they might not have pursued legal actions against him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta.
But then Casillas went a step farther by allegedly asking his wife to bring him his gun.
Humphries jumped out of a bedroom window in an effort to escape, but Casillas was waiting for him in the front yard, where the beating continued, according to investigators.
The aggrieved parent allegedly threatened Humphries' life and fired shots as the bloodied and bruised 20-year-old fled.
Georgia law allows homeowners to use force to defend themselves and their families from intruders, but only so long as they present a threat.

Will the taxpayers be picking up this multi-thousand dollars bill while “Man Man” does his time in the slammer?
The boys, of course, were aware of this and would sometimes stage an outburst to get out of class or chores. So one day one started acting out (so he wouldn’t have to do school work) and was promptly put on the floor. He started wildly trying to bite at the arms holding downuntil he bit a metal chair leg. It was like a cartoon. He was spitting out teeth like they were life saver bits. His “problem” instantly went away he starting crying for the nurse.
And yes, the state paid to give him nice caps. (But it was pretty funny).
This sexual predator is a threat as long as he lives!
Let’s see how much time he gets. Remember, it is Georgia where Governor Stacey Adams rules in another universe. /sarc
Were I on any jury concerning this I’d vote NOT guilty.
If dad is convicted, Gov. Kemp should issue a pardon.
In a lot of places, they wouldn’t charge.
In CA, they charged two people who painted over a BLM mural with a hate crime.
Equal protection under the law anyone?
She charged them anyway. (Yes, the DA is black)
The dad is not guilty of anything.
The perp should be counting his lucky stars that he is still above ground.
Whoever named him Keywontrezes” should be beaten, also.
It doesn’t matter if no jury would convict — a prosecutor who feels like it can string the case along until he bankrupts you.
And give him an Attaboy.
That’s no man. It’s an overgrown boy (go ahead; call me racist, but he doesn’t look at all mature), playing man games with someone else’s little girl.
Not guilty.
Jury nullification is called for here.
How do we go about volunteering for that jury?
Lucky if it's just a fine, he's been charged with aggravated assault, a felony. I know I'm in the minority here, but while he was justified beating the cr*p out of man man, once he escaped the house and was fleeing he was no longer a threat. He shouldn't have shot up the neighborhood, that's going to get you charged just about anywhere in the country. Any gunowner should know that. He's lucky he didn't kill anyone. Maybe he can cut a deal for illegal discharge or a misdemeanor assault.
“...his dead, soulless eyes.. looks like a reptilian.”
No kidding, his eyes are almost on the side of his head.
Before and after photos....dad knocked the Buckwheat out of him.
Maybe they will run him for VP with slo-joe?
LOL...that's the funniest photo I have ever seen.
I'm sure Keywontrezes Humphries is a member of the dintdonuffins gang.
Who the hell names these people, Keywontrezes what the hell kind of name is that???? LOL
He should have been given a medal instead.
