CLEVELAND Cleveland police are investigating after a man shot and killed a dog after it attacked his pregnant girlfriend while she was taking it on a walk Saturday evening.
Around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to the 9200 block of Rosalind Avenue after receiving a call that a woman had been attacked by a pit bull, police said.
Once on scene, officers found that a 31-year-old woman was being transported by EMS to University Hospitals in serious condition and saw the dog lying lifeless in the street, according to police.
The womans boyfriend told police that he had shot and killed the dog after we witnessed it attack his girlfriend, police said.

The boyfriend could not get it to stop, and had to run inside to get the girlfreind's gun to shoot the dog and stop the attack.
At least now the dog won’t have the opportunity to kill the baby.
Exactly.
It's a Dog of Peace.
Good shooting.
Don’t know why the police have to *investigate* it.
Girlfriend has bite marks and wounds enough to go to the hospital, no doubt the dog has blood on it, the dog is now dead.
Good outcome except for the woman getting hurt.
Pitbulls can be the Antifah of the canine world, with their powerful jaws. But still, some pitbulls wouldn’t harm a flea.
I received a puncture wound from a pitbull recently myself (unprovoked, protecting my own dog during a dog walk).
Let me take a SWAG......................Pit Bull....................Am I right?...............

Citizens should not operate in the police domain.
They were pizzed that they didn’t get to shoot it.
And, have you noticed that it is VERY difficult to get a “rescue” dog that isn’t a pitbull or pitbull mutt/mix?
“...she had never had any issues...”
Well of course. You never have issues with a pitbull...until you have an issue.
But they don’t shoot loose pit bulls.
Only dogs in houses where they have to break the door down to do a drug raid on the wrong house.
There is no difference between a pitbull and a lab except for culture. To suggest otherwise is skin color hatred. All Dogs Matter.
We visited our local animal shelter a few years back, maybe 10 or so, and yes, there were a bunch of PB’s there then!.................
And the PB-mix are even more psychotic...
I remember all those times when, speaking to the police from a hospital bed, I said the same thing about my collies.
Bullchit.
“But still, some pitbulls wouldnt harm a flea.”
Yeah, she though that of her pitbull too:
Excerpt:
“Police visited the woman in the hospital and she told officers that she had never had any issues with the dog being aggressive before and she couldnt understand why the attack had happened, police said.
The woman suffered lacerations and puncture wounds to both of her arms, legs and hands and another to her abdomen, according to police.”
They are untrustworthy. My sister’s had two of them her son “rescued” and then conveniently left them for her to take care of when he moved away and couldn’t take them.
Thank God, both died relatively quickly due to severe cancer and whatever the other one died of...can’t remember. But, one was around her grandchildren for too long for my comfort. We’d be talking on the phone and she would be yelling at her granddaughter to leave it alone as she was pulling it’s tail and trying to ride it like a horse. Prayers answered when that one was put down with cancer.
Hahaha!
Yes! Especially here in California. We are looking for a new dog and the shelters are full of either pitbulls or chihuahuas- apparently there were so many chihuahuas that they were shipped off to Montana.
Apparently, pet stores are banned from selling puppies - I think this is to force people to adopt out pitbulls and chihuahuas out of the shelters. We found one dog that isn't a pitbull - and when we clicked it on, there were so many inquiries about it that the shelter is having a raffle for it.
ROTFLMAO.
