There are two key takeaways from the outcome of Tuesdays primaries in Alabama, Maine and Texas.
First, the big winner of the night was President Trump. Several Trump-backed candidates defeated their opponents and unquestionably benefited significantly from the presidents support. The most notable of these was former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville, who defeated former senator and attorney general Jeff Sessions for the GOP nomination for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama. Tuberville will face Democratic Sen. Doug Jones, considered a highly vulnerable incumbent.
Second, Democratic primary results show the party is deeply divided, complicating the Democrats path to winning majority control of the Senate and defeating Trump in the November election.

Yay!
Recuser is the loser.
In many ways, the weight of Trumps endorsements in Alabama and Texas signals that the presidents current chances for reelection may be stronger than national polls indicate.

The weight of Trumps endorsements signals that the national polls are fraudulent.
There was a time when I appreciated Sessions. Then he became
the AG, and my low patience with criminality not being
addressed caused me to come up with another view of him.
Now Barr is doing his best impression of Sessions, and I’d
love to see Trump bitch slap him back into reality.
coup
terrorist
treasonous criminal conspiracy
When is this jackass going to take off the blinders and
get to work?
Schoen generally plays it pretty straight for a democrat and he is worth reading.
I am struck by his casual statement that the democrats will need to unite their far left base and moderates.... Name one thing Biden has done or said that appeals to moderates?
Seriously? Biden essentially adopted the Bernie Sanders economic plan and the Green New Deal. Moderates reject both. Moderates want law and order. Biden is promising chaos. Moderates want immigration control. Biden is promising open borders and welfare for all.
From where I am sitting it appears that wedding moderates to this extreme agenda is a pipe dream. Obama would not get the support of the far left today. They have gone that far that fast.....
>> There was a time when I appreciated Sessions. Then he became the AG
He was once my adopted Senator, then he became a disastrous problem.
ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF WHATS COME OUT WITH THAT SO CALLED INVESTIGATION..the FBI misconduct, Mueller witch hunt etc..for him to recuse himself amid all of that is just inexcusable...just go retire Jeff, you did this to yourself.
One of the more amusing aspects is watching the dem dinosaurs advocating they are part of the revolution. Pelosi with her botox and ice cream pretending she is leader of the youngsters.
I do chuckle at the insanity, but we should be very worried. These people are unhinged. Completely 100% unhinged.
Never trumpers should be nervous.
We are Immovable.
I remember when Sessions would be on Tuckers show regularly in 2017 and all he wanted to talk about was the work the DOJ was doing combatting MS-13. Really? No one cares, especially given what was going on with the Russia witch hunt. Either he was clueless or he was deliberately avoiding exposing the nefarious behavior of the FBI.
Yeah, I hear ya...
He can spend more time with the Keebler Elves.
I think Alabama will regret this one day...sigh
No one cares about MS-13?
Really?
Tuberville 60.7 %
Sessions 39.3 %
