Cops say suspect had knife, crowbar and slingshots, report says
A protester in Portland was arrested Monday after police say he used a “wrist rocket” to launch a metal ball that struck a city medic in the chest who was working with police at the scene, reports said.

Jesse Bates, 37, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault among other charges, KATU.com reported. Police said Bates was nabbed in possession of a crowbar, knife, gas mask, pyrotechnics and slingshots, according to the report.
The Portland Fire & Rescue employee suffered bruising, the report said. The alleged incident occurred at about 2 p.m. OregonLive.com reported that police were forced to chase the man and eventually employed less-than-lethal force to stop him.
Last week Portland’s Deputy Police Chief, Chris Davis, said an “agitator corps” of violent protesters are responsible for vandalism and chaos in the city.
Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, appealed for calm the night before.

Per the above, looks like slingshots are illegal in Portland. Will the perp be up on a weapons charge, too...?

I’ve seen pics of lots of these terrorists carrying skate boards around. Using them as weapons, I’m sure. I mean, they get carted to the riots on charter buses, don’t they?

Losing an eye is minor to being dead.
It was my number one choice of weapon when taking out critters closer into town. About the dog thing? When a dog chases my horses he is as dead as quickly as I can make him be.
Third degree assault, what exactly is that because a wrist rocket and ‘metal ball’ can be lethal, so if this POS wasn’t charged with assault with a deadly weapon it’s horseshit! Anybody believe he wasn’t aiming for the EMT’s head?
