At least four Catholic churches in four states were vandalized over the weekend in a string of attacks that have authorities wondering whether religious icons and statues are next to be targeted by anti-racism and “anti-fascist” protesters.
Fox News reports that churches in California, New York, Massachusetts, and Florida were all targeted by vandals, and several historic churches suffered major damage in arson attacks.
In Los Angeles, the historic San Gabriel Church, which was about to turn 250 years old, was targeted in an arson attack. In Boston, a statue of the Virgin Mary — a monument to veterans of World War II, displayed in the courtyard of a Catholic church there — was torched and desecrated.
A second statue of the Virgin Mary was desecrated on Sunday, this time in New York City, at the Cathedral Preparatory School and Seminary in Brooklyn.

The biggest difference is that countless Spaniards would go to war to defend the faith; who would do that here? Too many American Catholics can see their own bishops don’t believe.
I’d be surprised if any destroyed structures are even rebuilt; easier to just combine the congregation with a neighboring one.

Before the Civil War, during the Know Nothing persecution of Catholics, the Bishop of New York, John Hughes, told the Know Nothing leaders that if Protestant mobs destroyed Catholic churches, New York would be turned into “another Moscow “, referring to the destruction of that city during the Napoleonic Wars. No destruction occurred, as had been the case in Philadelphia. The Catholics of 2020 should heed the lessons of their history.

We Christians of all faiths are the ultimate target. Remember Jesus said even family members will turn us in to the authorities!
Your pastor is right! They hate us with a burning malice. The darkness in them sees the light in us(we weak but faithful) and despises us.

If these were historically black churches it’d be all over the news 247 with the cause declared by the race baiters as “white supremacy” .
Nobody cares if white or Hispanic churches burn.
