The Ford Motor Companys website features the automakers long relationship with law enforcement that dates back seven decades and includes its tagline for the vehicles it has designed for the men and women in blue police-tested, street proven.
But now the wave of social unrest and virtue signaling following the death of George Floyd while in police custody is taking over the corporate world, including at Ford, where workers are urging leadership to stop manufacturing cop cars.
This despite the fact that Ford expresses pride about its connection to law enforcement, according to its website:
Ford introduced the first-ever police package in 1950. Over the following decades, weve worked alongside law enforcement agencies with a purpose-built philosophy that continues today. Every vehicle is built with what we call the Ford Police DNA safety, durability, performance, purpose built and upfit friendly.
Like the officers who drive them, Ford police vehicles are specialized to meet the needs of the communities they serve providing law-enforcement agencies of all stripes with the ideal tools to get the job done.
But now anti-police rhetoric is spilling over into action taken against not just police officers who have committed crimes but all men and women in uniform 800,000 in the United States, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Since the first recorded police death in 1786, there have been more than 22,000 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, the memorial website states.

I fully expect it is.
Well, if some employees don’t want to make police cars, they can either quit or get moved to a line where they AREN’T involved with police car production.
It’s better than them sabotaging the cars.
Agree!
Ill never buy their products again.
Every union shop has its share of commie malcontents, but Ford has not agreed to this nonsense. Besides, Ford builds the same vehicles in fleet configuration (usually white paint, black cloth interior, basic accessories) for a lot more than just the police. Sure, they could rename the "Interceptor" package, but the heavy-duty suspension, electrical and cooling options aren't going anywhere.
Now, if Ford eventually caves in on this demand, the company will deserve our contempt.

#4. Good observation. This is a really poorly written story by another Fox “writer” (more like the old “Ted Mack Amateur Hour”.
In the 70’s, a maoist-oriented group of black Ford workers created an organization called DRUM. It consisted of about 2-3 dozen workers with other communists supporting them and caused a lot of havoc in the auto industry.
The Ford executives should publish the list of those who want them to stop producing police cars and tell them, since they don’t like what Ford makes, take a hike. See how many of the BLM cowards do that.
Nip it in the bud with a flamethrower. Hit it twice, just to be sure.
FIRE EM ALL ...............
.
Leftist Imbeciles - let them hit the road.

If the employees of Ford don’t want to build police cars, Chrysler employees will be more than happy to build MOPAR Interceptors again.
Offering to relieve their conscience of the burden of building a tool of oppression such as the Ford Police Interceptor would have been my go to response here.
A nearly lifelong friend of mine who is a die-hard Ford man from a die-hard Ford family recently bought a Dodge Ram pickup and loves it so much.
Fire them all immediatley! But ford wont because they donated to the BLM cause, scumbags
Next up - “Ford lays off discontents who insisted production be cut, making their jobs superfluous...”
Police Explorers are about 40% profit and governments have money when consumers don’t.
There is Zero way Ford or GM will EVER stop selling Police SUV’s.
What is the $$ amount Ford would lose by refusing to make police cars? Has to be in the Billion’s. They are not cheap.
Toppling the UAW would be a nation-saving accomplishment. I know people in MI who, even though hunters and gun owners, support the yellow wax witch just because of the “D” factor. Having lived among staunch union supporters for a time, their ignorance knows no bounds. They credit the entire American wage structure to unionism.
Though they were gun owners, hunters and trappers, they justified voting “D”emonic since they equated unions with their livelihood. Always looking for an excuse to “bust some heads”. Territorial wars with the other construction trades. They were prejudiced against owners/CEOs and any other professions (medical) that didn’t have representation. When Lech Waleska fought communists in Poland in the early 80s, they said the Unions fight in the US for “fair wages” was equivalent to the battle against communism. If you detect my absolute contempt, yes, I was married into such a family, to my everlasting disgust.
I wish Ford could behead the UAW. Expect sabotage at some plants if Ford doesn’t capitulate.
Has arrived? Hell it has been here for decades. It is simply growing on the backs of the stupid youth running out of colleges today. One day when all this smacks them in the face and it is too late to do anything about it, they are going to say “where did our America go?” Well, pal, it went down the drain you opened for the likes of Soros and Gates, the liberal pigs of the world.
Wow, a whole 100 employees. I wonder if these are line workers or office (e.g., HR, finance, etc.), I suspect the latter.
There’s actually a rather simple solution to this.
Have the President of Ford call the letter writers and those whose jobs will be lost by cutting the LE line, into a meeting. Explain to the LE employees what is going on.
Lay the letters on a table and tell all the employees, “We’ll be right outside. Please knock on the door when you have an agreement.”
Then walk out.
