It is quite possible that the issue with the guy in the hospital is with the test and/or that he produced very little antibodies and/or what he did produce disappeared
They are still studying all of that
You could have had all the symptoms in January. Test Negative for antibodies in July..and still cant conclusively say with certainty that you didnt have it.
The other thing they are looking at is whether you can get Covid and not test positive or have antibodies because your T cells fought it off.
the biochemist on Texags site works for a company involved with all aspects of Covid. His company is very cautious on when they will release an antibody test. the biochemist said...awhile back..he didnt trust any of the current ones.

Actually we do not what’s going to happen with a range of statistics. Most everyone, including old and sick have no to mild symptoms. Most everyone who gets it doesn’t die.
As early November approaches, the panic peddlers will be ramping up the hysteria tenfold.
The party was avoidable getting exposed to the virus is not unless you quarantine and isolate for the rest of your life.

Even if you get it and survive, it can screw you up. I’m 80% certain I had it in January, all the symptoms (still trying to get an antibody test, though). Sheer hell for three days, felt beat-up for another four, but- I went from doing half marathons and kettlebell get-ups and squats with decent weights for a 58 year old to being winded at 4 miles and tying at a bodyweight squat or mere 35lb kettlebell get-up.

It’s war, and masks are like helmets of flack jackets- not going to do you that much good against a sniper’s kill shot or tank round, or tactical nuke, but they will slightly lower the risk (albeit to people around you, but same net gain in a case of war, which the Chicoms have been at with us since 1949).
If Qaida had let loos a bioengineered virus in 2002, we’d damned well be masking up, social distancing, and treating like the act of war which it is.

Imagine if someone not in your shape got the same exact viral load that you got.
You could just assume you had it and try to get the most reliable antibody test you can get.
Someone here got a dose coughed on him in the eye back in November or December. Has permanent eye damage. The last time I saw his post he hadnt taken the antibody test but did find out there were students from Wuhan at the event. So the Asians who coughed on him from behind as he turned his head might have had it.
