The difference between communting a sentence and a pardon? A pardon negates the conviction. A commutation only does away with the prison time.

Awesome! This is winning.
It is unfortunate though since this decision by the President just enforces the fact that the rule of law is dead in this country. I do not trust the police or any court in this country, most especially the Supreme Court.

This has nothing to do with his re-election. It has everything to do with the President’s sense of JUSTICE!

Stone isn't going to play a role in the Trump admin, so Trump probably waited for this moment to commute his sentence. Flynn could well end up in the Trump admin, so he has to play the game (although the game obviously should be over by now).
