“Barr disagrees. Thinks the sentence was fair....”

Not sure where you are getting that from. But if he said that then he doesn’t know when he should keep his mouth shut.

It came from Barr’s lips a few days ago.

"The distinction between pardon and commutation are that a pardon is a complete remission of penalty by a sovereign power as authorized by law[iv]. But, a commutation of a sentence is only a substitution of a lesser punishment for a greater punishment. Also, a pardon has to be accepted by the person who is pardoned, while a sentence may be commuted without the consent of the convict[v]."

I think commute means he still has a criminal record. A full pardon expunges the record.

People who are only concerned about his ‘manner’ and tweets, are shallow and all about ‘style’.

They aren’t paying any attention to the actual *substance* of the man - or they just don’t love this country, and are incapable of understanding all the good that he has done for US.

Another, perhaps more informative, source:

"What Is The Difference Between A Pardon And A Commutation? Pardon Vs Commutation – In Conclusion

In sum, the difference between a commutation and pardon is generally simple: commutation is a reduction (either total or partial) of a criminal sentence while the person is still serving the sentence, and a pardon is generally granted after someone has already served their time. But as you can see above, there are exceptions, and there is never a shortage of interesting, and often controversial, stories behind every exercise of executive clemency."

Does not matter! The power to pardon is absolute - Barr should keep his mouth shut. Stick with the law - stay out of politics. That’s what we expect from an executive branch employee.

This is a shot across the bows of the deep state, a direct smackdown of the corrupt Amy Berman Jackson, an attack on the sleazy prosecutors and a repudiation of the compromised jury. There is no defense here.
This is pure offence.
Guess who is drinking Champagne tonight.
Hint: It's not Berman Jackson.
Screw em.

No, you don’t take away General Flynn’s exoneration moment. No.

Why pardon Flynn now ... timing is everything ... Judge got slapped down by appellate court... Trump actually plays by the rules even when he doesn’t like them (unlike most people in DC) and his political instincts are above average. Making the judge eat eat his decision is going to be the optics that I want to see.

Barr did not say the trial was fair.
He did not say the fore woman of the jury was not corrupt or compromised.
He merely said the sentence was fair for the conviction.
Big difference.
This conviction will not stand on appeal.
Meanwhile, Roger can drink Champagne. A free man.

NOW what can be done to get rid of that leftist Judge Amy Berman Jackson? She, and Sullivan have to go

Hard to imagine Justice Roberts lecturing DJT about there being no Obama judges. What a fool.

Watch for a federal judge to declare Trump’s commutation invalid.
