A few hundred lives ruined so the politicians can rake in millions of dollars. Sick.

Crimesha Overreaching Again
Since she won’t do the job she was elected to do, as evidenced by this memo from her useless office (click for larger version):

She’s decided that she will circumvent existing Contract protections for all police agencies in Cook County:
State’s Attorney Kim Foxx Thursday introduced a new online form the public can use to report potential criminal misconduct by police officers in Cook County.

Foxx, citing an increase in allegations of criminal misconduct against law enforcement officials, said the form, available on the office’s website, was created in response to a “growing frustration that in a lot of these cases, we [prosecutors] aren’t notified by [investigating authorities] until late in the process.”

This way citizens can report the allegations directly to prosecutors, Foxx said in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times.
That isn’t how the process works. The State is brought in at a specific point for a specific purpose - to prosecute a completed investigation. This is also the point at which Crimesha usually drops the charges and asks offenders if they need an Uber ride home. But now she wants to be involved prior to an investigation being completed. She obviously looking for scalps to collect, and not the scalps of those that police arrest.

POTUS should commandeer the IL national guard and deploy them in the areas of these shootings. Either the murder rate will plummet, or, there will be skirmishes with the national guard.

Personally I think with national guardsmen patrolling the streets that violent crime will drop precipitously, putting to bed the lie that no police is better than police and pointing out the fact that this Dem run city has perhaps one of the most incompetent leaderships in America.

A lot of people who are alive at 4:00 pm in Chicago this afternoon will not be alive Monday morning. They will be shot down on the streets in the coming hours. It is going to happen.

There is time for the mayor to act. But not much time.

Sad.

I’m a little confused. Is it Mayor Groot or Beetlejuice? Or is it Cpt. Jack Sparrow’s Mom?

As a white man, I can see no reason for either me or anyone of my race to go into the south or west side of Chicago, unless legally compelled or required to as a part of my job. Indeed, I think most of us feel the same way. That means all, or almost all, of the recent group of shooting victims had to be either black or hispanic, with the shooter(s) being of the same race(s).

Why endanger perfectly good Illinois volunteer soldiers that way? Especially when the “community” will end up crapping on them just as they do the cops...as with Operation Banner (Northern Ireland) where ultimately NOBODY supported the “occupiers” in uniform.

Honestly, these neighborhoods have to solve their internal problems for themselves.

I was in the Loop just today. A Friday, in summer, during a regular workweek...and it looked more like the Sunday of a holiday weekend, or Christmas Day, in terms of open businesses and people on the street. Lots of places have not reopened, clearly for months.

The Covid lockdown, and lots of erstwhile downtown workers working from home, has much to do with that of course...but from looking in the stores I passed by, I suspect the riots and crime reports have scared a lot of people away from downtown.
