Also, a mural is pretty, usually.

Definitely; here in NJ our Muslim and Hindu students (trafficked here to keep the public schools open) want their holidays off. No surprise...

If they’re going to burn down NYC anyway every time someone gets a mad-on, in for a penny, in for a pound. At this point, what difference does it make. You can’t speak your mind on social media, but 5th Avenue is public property.

Then the Heritage Foundation, NRA, and any other group has the right to ask for the same thing. Giant can of worms opening up.
That's right
And as a disenfranchised woman I demand my reparations...

The letter may have been more effective if they had used the proper term forum instead of the plural, fora. Reading the singular article with the plural subject (a fora) really made me cringe, and distracted from the intended irony of the request.

Like someone said, FReepers are kind of slow on the uptake 2nite.
The letter which those ladies sent to DeBlasio, does not take into consideration proportion.
They suggest a 'mural' the size of the black matters sign. But, blacks represent approximately 12-13% of the population, and whites are the majority. So, the women's message should be as large as the size of the percentage of women in America, which might be somewhere around 54-55%, or approximately 4-5 times larger than the black lives matter road grafitty.

Well, traditionally, murals have been pretty. But a lot of what I see in urban locations is not.

I agree that if BLM gets to have its label painted anywhere on a NYC street, so should other groups.
Yet, taking a neutral position, and in spite of what I may personally like about the “Women For America First” group, I think any mayor would not approve their request. Why? Go to their website. There you find nothing telling you who they really are. Yes, you can see a bit of their point of view. But there is no “About” link, no link to who their officers or board members are, no names anywhere. In other words, the group is not transparent by not showing anywhere who are they, personally.
If they want to have more of an impact, they need to be more up front about who they are.
