Can’t be afraid forever. There needs to be some level of organization, if for no other reason just to come into contact with others of like mind in your area if you have no one.

In 1980, I was an office manager at the Census bureau and and every day, the enumerators came in at the end of the day, complaining to me about “your people”.
They sicced porch dogs on them, came out of their houses toting guns and just generally didn’t cooperate at all.
I laughed and asked them what was I supposed to do about it, because, even ~being~ one of them, I still sure as hell wouldn’t go stomping onto their property uninvited.
Even weirder, years after that, I had a persistent Census taker keep trying to get me to answer questions I knew were not allowed.
The last time she showed up at my fence, I was sitting on the front porch cleaning a 30.30 and had my two Dobes lying at my feet.
She started to say the same crap again and the two Dobes jumped up growling.
Sometimes the timing just works out perfect.
Never saw her again and in the 20-some years since, have never seen another Census taker.

Also, in these modern times, "nerds" are going to play an essential role. Imagine the tactical advantage offered by drones (already proven against ANTIFA from what I've read), the advantage of communications and disinformation, and the advantages that may result from monitoring social media. ("SIGINT")
Has the chain of command been designated? Do you have insignias (or anything visual) to indicate rank?
Do you have LP/OPs? Have you identified your HQ? Is there comms between the LP/OPs and the HQ? (Is there backup, non-electronic comms? Hard-wired comms?). Have code words been identified to conceal communications and possibly provide disinformation?
Have serious roadblocks, with covering fire, been planned. Is there COMMS between the roadblocks and HQ (with visual backup COMMS)?
Have hard and soft cover been identified and/or prepared? Have booby traps been planned? Have the avenues of attack and "fatal funnels" been identified (and briefed to all?)?
Have "DEFCON" levels been identified? Have rules of engagement been defined for each DEFCON level? (DEFCON levels and ROE should be memorized by all.)
Has food and ammo been stockpiled?
Leadership should read and re-read Sun Tzu's "Art of War".
And understand small unit tactics, be ready to disappear when confronted by air power .. and drill .. drill .. drill.

I was sold a long time ago. The old Guard guys are not giving up on he narrow idea that if they get on their hogs and ride to a site with their AR-15, the BS is going to stop. It's folly.
To be honest, we just arrived at the point where we need officers to solve problems and move the organization towards eventual solid constitutional ground. Well........some of us. The Old Guard refuses to study because if they did, they would have to admit they lived a lie their entire life, not getting past the 2nd amendment and being unable to tie it into Art I sect 8.
We are trying to move away from field ops in rural areas. The fight isn't going to be there. But there are many that still need to be convinced.
Do you believe you will always be able to trust our Federal Government, or any government for that matter? Several Federal Agencies already have been weaponized. The FBI tried to destroy President Trump. Given the political climate in our times now, is it not possible, is it not probable that the FBI has agents monitoring and gathering information within any so called militia group in the country? Don't be so gullible. FreeRepublic is being watched and has been going way back.
