Faculty wants “dedicated study space” for Black students only, plus enforced “unconscious bias” training.
Issuing the ultimate woke wishlist, The Faculty Association at California State university has demanded that all “Black Native, and Indigenous students” should be given free tuition as a “redress for systemic anti-Black racism in the CSU.”
The CFA has also charged that “the historical and longstanding infrastructures of universities” should be dismantled because they are “fundamentally grounded in a white supremacist colonial discourse and culture.”
Campus Reform reports that the CFA also wants to overturn the ban on affirmative action, and is arguing that “racial pay equity” needs to be implemented because “workload is also higher for Black faculty given that CSU faculty are majority-white, and CSU students are majority of color resulting in ‘cultural taxation.’”
Without providing corroborating evidence, the faculty also claims that research conducted by Black students is “often not valued at the same level as other faculty.”
A further demand outlines that there be “Black faculty available to serve as reviewers for Black faculty candidates,” so as to counter “white supremacy”, as well as “dedicated study space” for Black students only.
The faculty also demands an expansion of curriculum for Ethnic Studies, creating Black Student/Resource Centers, and enforcing “unconscious bias” training for all students.
In addition, the faculty urges support for initiatives toward “the full abolition of the police,” claiming that Black, Native, and Indigenous students can “not rely on police for safety,” and that law enforcement has “racist roots” enhancing “the dehumanization of Black people.”
For good measure, the woke demand list also includes a petition for protection of the Black LGBTQIA+ community.
The CFA’s statement says that it “recognize[s] that the movement for queer and trans liberation was catalyzed by uprisings led by QTPOC (queer and trans people of color), often against police violence.”
It concludes that students should continue “building on a radical and beautiful legacy of resistance.”
This is indicative of demands from woke student groups across the nation. For example, at UCLA, a Professor was recently placed on leave and subject to threats of violence after he rejected requests to allow black students to take final exams at a later date, purely because of the colour of their skin.
Other reports from elsewhere in the country have indicated that black students are demanding they be given leniency, or just better grades, to combat ‘systemic racism
The universities will respond to black free tuition the same way democrats do to a proposed tax cut: How will we pay for it? And the answer, of course, is higher tuition rates - read taxes - for all other students. Because the instructors, especially the white ones, won’t go for a cut in their pay, notwithstanding they help perpetuate the “white supremacist” education system.
Education is racist? No, 2+2=4 no matter if you are white, black, native American, Asians, Pacific Islanders or any other races..

The other thing I was thinking at least out here from the California perspective is that the blacks are not a very strong or powerful voting block carry more it’s all about the Hispanic block and it’s got to be getting pissed off considering they’re much more powerful and they’re getting zero attention
Now they want to make it that there is no application process or tracking and just giving any folks of pigmentation a check when they walk thru the door based entirely on the color of their epidermis. Watch the mega tanning salons and pigment enhancers get into gear to get their customers the right shade for this new 'people of color' bonanza.

Seems like each institution should split into two parts, physically and scholastically separated. One can be for “Studies” of any sort with degrees printed on toilet paper. The other would be for math, engineering and the hard sciences. Anyone flunking freshman calculus (during the freshman year) would be invited to transfer to the “studies” campus.
As for overhead, almost none. Just the essentials. If you need a shoulder to cry on, transfer to the “studies” campus.

Let them have what they demand, then sue the university for violations of civil rights laws and bankrupt them.
What will the products of this kind of education actually be able to functionally do?
Wow, did they even consider the obvious implications of this? What does one mean by black? Caribbean blacks are about as black as you get, but they are not descended from American slaves. Do they get the free tuition? What about half black? 1/4 black? 1/8th black?
I have a question about “Black Native and Indigenous Students.” Do they mean only black people born in the USA (”black native”), or is there supposed to be a comma after “black”? In that case, what is the difference between “native” (as they use it, e.g. in Native American) and “indigenous”?
And I believe in being utterly fair by giving people a choice.
Choice 1: The federal gubment accredits a new University -- Black Lives Matter State -- a new on-line university and any person can sign up for free and get a degree. Any number of virtual study areas can be set up -- by race, ethic background, color of skin, or any other victim category.
Choice 2: The federal gubment purchases Louis Vitton retail stores. Then for reparations, we open up each Democrat city's Louis Vitton store for a one-time looting and pillaging. People can break the glass, and steal all the designer handbags they can carry out the store.
Now to qualify for these goodies, every person must sign a pledge saying they and their forebears will never ask for reparations again.
Then we're done with it. After that, people are free to continue living in their Democrat City hellholes.
