Every one of the clauses in the law you cited in Michigan is the essential of a “stand your ground” law, which is a “no-duty to retreat clause”. So your statement that there is no “no-duty to retreat” law in Michigan is wrong. It exists explicitly in the very law you cited in every clause cited.

In general, do not shop where there are great numbers of people who have no fear of repercussions (because there are none for them) while you will suffer hell for the most minor infraction. Why knowingly put yourself in such a situation after everything we have seen?

I’m a little torn on this one. At first thought, it seems like she was within her rights with Stand Your Ground in Michigan to level the gun at the troublemaker. On the other hand, I wonder if she would have been charged if she had brought out the weapon and held it in a proper downward position until physically threatened. Until then, she probably shouldn’t have brought the gun to bear on the woman.

I have no idea in hell why the man could possibly be charged with anything.

A good NRA or USCCA attorney could argue a good Stand Your Ground defense, however.
