A white couple from Clarkston, Michigan, was arrested and charged with a felony after a video showed the woman pointing a gun at a Black mother and her two daughters.

She didn't point it in her face. The white woman came out of the car with the weapon, and told the black woman to back off, but the black woman kept coming at her, which forced the white woman to continue to step backwards, all the while telling the black woman to back up. The black woman was clearly the aggressor here.

All I saw was the wife’s gun while hubs left her undefended.

Yep. She pointed it right at the camera, e.g. right at the face of whoever was recording this costly incident. It’s all on video.
unless you are about to be physically attacked, and then you draw that gun and you USE it, not to warn, you use it to disable or kill.

Agree - however, in a ‘mob scene’ (especially IF you are in your vehicle) and you are surrounded, I do believe ‘flashing’ it will move the mob to the point where you can depart the scene as they ‘step back’ to evaluate the situation and before they realize you can’t shoot them all BUT it does takes ‘guts’ to surge forward if you realize you may be taken out so you may have time to leave.
Other than that, fire at Will or Tyrone or Laqusinda or whatever dummy is in range.
Now if dealing with a bunch of ‘hop heads’ this probably won’t make a difference..

In normal everyday situations, not a mob riot, I am choosing to not be in places where blacks are present - self segregation to reduce risk.
I back into parking spots and park well away from other vehicles but still with some protection for my car - curb, light post. Much easier to make a quick exit.
I don’t talk to people I don’t need to talk to and disengage from any interaction that I am in the least uncomfortable with. I also keep physical distance, CCPvirus is just a great excuse to maintain a large personal space.
When traveling, I avoid all cities of any size preferring smaller towns. Buy fuel, food, lodging only near small towns.
For me, the best course of action is to not be in a place where something could go wrong as much as possible, and try to always have a fast exit plan. And absolutely, maintain complete situational awareness.
After reading stories such as this, I understand why the National Guard and Sheriff's Department were so kind and gentle dealing with the terrorists yesterday.
And I’d point a gun at any person who was advancing on me while I’m forced to retreat back. That’s all on camera too.
We did not see the action that started this, bumping into someone. So that is in question and can’t be proved either way as it becomes here say and not fact.
The verbalities did not warrant the use of deadly force. And when the people in the car tried to withdraw, they were blocked by the women and she tried to push the car from the right rear of the vehicle, and after failing, struck it with her right hand.
Michigan doesn’t have a stand your ground law. They work with the self defense act,
780.972 Use of deadly force by individual not engaged in commission of crime; conditions.
Sec. 2.
(1) An individual who has not or is not engaged in the commission of a crime at the time he or she uses deadly force may use deadly force against another individual anywhere he or she has the legal right to be with no duty to retreat if either of the following applies:
(a) The individual honestly and reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the imminent death of or imminent great bodily harm to himself or herself or to another individual.
(b) The individual honestly and reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the imminent sexual assault of himself or herself or of another individual.
(2) An individual who has not or is not engaged in the commission of a crime at the time he or she uses force other than deadly force may use force other than deadly force against another individual anywhere he or she has the legal right to be with no duty to retreat if he or she honestly and reasonably believes that the use of that force is necessary to defend himself or herself or another individual from the imminent unlawful use of force by another individual.
That was not proven as it never had a chance to happen.
The Castle Act only pertains to home invasion, not a parking lot. But neither represent the need for force based upon property threat, only injury or death threat of which neither existed in this situation.
So the laws are a little different up there from some areas that identify property. But it’s the law the way the people of Michigan want it. It’s their state. I doubt a felony won’t be lowered to a misdemeanor with a fine as the circumstances are different than a normal situation by both parties.

Was it jacking with the pregnant woman part (asking for trouble due to hormonal changes) or the black part doing the two-step?

The black woman is married to a police officer, who was on his way to the scene.
After the pregnant white woman pulled a gun to clear the black woman from her car, the white woman's husband called 911 and the black woman's husband called 911.
It appeared to me the black woman was working hard to provoke a confrontation.
It will be difficult to justify pulling the gun.
Hard to see any justification for charging the husband, who called 911 and did not pull his gun.
Self protection and to stop tyranny are the only two reasons behind the Second Amendment. What was left for these victims to do, stand there and let some outraged black woman follow though on her threats and get their asses whooped? Now they’re being victimized again by a deranged ignorant and obvious libturd DA. They needs to be a massive protest against this DA. Perp walk the scumbag out of the courthouse and out of his/her job!
I’ve been in situations where the black person deliberately bumped me and then claimed it was I who bumped them, and then they tried to escalate the situation exactly the way I saw the two black women trying to goad the white couple into escalating in the video, daring them to do something. I would not be at all surprised if the 15 year old black girl had not deliberately invaded the space of the white woman and bumped her, and then confronted her with the intent to do exactly what went down, along with the video taping.
The situation was over when the couple was in the car, and backing out, and the black girl blocked the car and began beating on it, bashing it, intending to continue the confrontation, blocking their departure. She then charged at the white woman in a threatening manner, making violent threats, an assault. The white woman then was in fear for her safety, and under Michigan’s stand your ground law, had no duty to retreat, was justified in using her weapon.
