A white Oakland County, Michigan couple were charged with felony assault on Thursday after a video of a pregnant woman defending herself from a black woman with a firearm went viral.
Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper charged Jillian Wuestenberg , 32, and Eric Wuestenberg, 42, each with one count of felonious assault, a four-year felony, the Detroit News reported.

The couple was arraigned Thursday at 52-3 District Court in Rochester Hills.
Both were given a $50,000 personal bond.
“As part of the bond conditions, they must turn over all firearms, not engage in any assaultive behavior, and may not leave the state,” sheriff’s officials said.
The incident stemmed from a bump and lack of apology, according to Bouchard.
“Let’s have a little more tolerance for each other and not being so quick to react,” Bouchard said. “If someone is doing something improper or unfair, I tell my family and friends to look away. This is not the moment to plant your flag.”
A white couple leaving a Chipotle restaurant this week were falsely accused of racism by a black woman and her 15-year-old daughter.
The black woman accused a pregnant white woman of bumping into her daughter near the e
ntrance of the restaurant and demanded an apology.
The white woman tried to deescalate the confrontation by peacefully walking away and got into her car as the black woman called her a “dumbass bitch.”
The black woman then turned her ire toward white woman’s husband and threatened him: “And if you say something I’ll beat your white ass too.”
As the white couple backed up their vehicle to leave the parking lot, the black woman rushed behind the SUV to block them from leaving and accused them of ‘trying to hit her.’
The black woman pounded on the vehicle and threatened to beat them.
This is when the confrontation escalated.
The white woman got out of the car and pulled out her firearm after being assaulted and threatened, “Get the f*ck away!” she screamed. “Back the f*ck up!”
Eric Wuestenberg was fired from his job at Oakland University following the incident.
“We have seen the video, and we deem his behavior unacceptable.” the university said in a statement.

There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.
So black people can assault with no penalty, but if white people defend themselves from assault by black people they will be charged with a felony?

It does not mean the account is wrong, necessarily, it means the video does not show what the account says.
I do not see any assault by the black woman, other than verbal assault. No one seems to have been touched by her.
I do not see her blocking the car. She may have been between the wife and the car.
I do not see her beating on the car. I heard a thump, which might have been a hand hitting the car.
I do not see it in the video.
I also do not see any reason to fire the husband.
Up until the pregnant wife is show with her gun out, is seems to have been entirely verbal.
The black woman looks to be trying to provoke a reaction.
She got the reaction, and now is going to win the legal lottery, because she never touched anyone.
If these people are tried and convicted, it will be the END of our Second Amendment rights.
These folks bought their guns legally, registered them as law requires, went through training for their concealed carry - for what?
They followed ALL the rules and yet they were arrested and are being prosecuted for defending themselves LEGALLY.
WHAT GOOD IS A CONCEALED CARRY IF YOU WILL STILL FACE A FELONY CHARGE WHEN YOU NEED TO USE IT???
According to what the fine Oakland County Sheriff and Prosecutor think here - we might as well not bother with registering guns, get C.C. Permits and just shoot to kill right off the bat. Why not if you’re going to go to jail and have your life ruined anyway?

I got my wife to move out of MA and move to the south. No way would I want to be up there with all this crap. Defend yourself and you are charged, but if you instigate then all is good providing you are black. I think I have seen about 50 videos in the last week of blacks beating white people because they are white. Not a frigging thin from the media about black racism and supremacy.
Remember the shooting in GA where the video shows the black kid run up tot he man with the shotgun and attack him. Blacks do not care if you have a gun. If they get shot and survive they know they get the attention, money etc.
I have guns but I also have Belgian Malinois. My gun is the last line but my dogs if I am losing my fight for life is my dogs who can certainly protect me.

One of the “rules” is to avoid confrontation when carrying a firearm. It certainly seems that the black woman provoked the confrontation and the white people kept trying to de-escalate and leave as they were supposed to do. The black woman was repeatedly aggressive and provocative. She was verbally threatening and refused to let them leave. She even refused to back off when a gun was produced. I agree that rather than pull the gun the white woman should have called the police. That is also risky considering all of the viral videos of people being condemned for calling the cops on blacks. That often leads to being attacked by an internet mob and losing your job. Also consider that these people were forced into a confrontation that they could neither de-escalate or escape. Under those kinds of stressful situations people panic and make mistakes. It really was a no win situation.
No, it is Michigan AND I doubt she voted for it.

The white couples lawyer should look up all the social media websites. I’ll bet they will find some incriminating statements. Maybe the mother is an “activist” or “community organizer”. I wonder if they are working for black lives matter.
There have been many instances of mobs surrounding innocent people in their cars. In the city of Provo, Utah there was a shooting of a driver who was blocked at an intersection. As the mob blocked his car, a shooter pointed his gun and shot the driver. The driver had to drive to the police. He is hospitalized where he was labeled in “stable condition” whatever that means. The “kids” were not playing children’s games, they all agreed to be part of the coordinated effort that was this CRIME! There was a kid there that looked like he couldn’t be more than thirteen years old. Parents where are you children?
