Back in 1997 a highly patriotic man got tired of being censored at a popular site of the time. With his understanding of America's Constitution, he created a site called Free Republic (FR). It was/is a very fitting name. It grew exponentially and the participants started creating FR city chapters for local activism beyond their discussions. They were on the streets no matter the age, race, or sex.
One sentence from Jim Robinson created an entire movement that brought people from all over the country to make a statement in DC about Bill Clinton. It was called the "March For Justice" Thousands came and volunteered for any position they could get. I was extremely privileged to be the coordinator, but had to disappoint many for what they preferred. Still, they did their jobs. I couldn't be more proud of those patriots.
It was THE first Internet sponsored rally and was highly successful with many conservative politicians taking the stage.
There were many other FR events/gatherings, but eventually the chapters fell away. Some chapter leaders died, some just got too infirmed, some just lost interest with the success of Pres. Trump, or just got tired.
With the anarchy happening nightly across out great nation, now is the time to re-group. I'm asking anyone who has the time, finances, youthful outlook to join me in re-forming the Free Republic Network.
Orange County, CA FR Chapter Rodger Hunter: 949-519-5701
Book mark for CO chapters...
Any one thinking of doing a FR chapter in Northern CA? Sonoma county?
I was really disappointed to learn that our city Santa Rosa (and also Healdsburg) were ‘sanctuary cities’.
But I am just a working peon that crawls home exhausted after work. I could support something, but I don’t think I could organize or lead it :(
Bkmk
We have a very active Tea Party organization in Manatee County Florida. I invite all to join us every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm.
There is plenty of time at these meetings for us to Freep Talk.
I hear you....
I’m above Pittsburg but if I recall when I first got to FR there was a Pittsburgh Freeper Chapter. Probably somebody has a list of the Chapters, cities and communities were they were active?
Just throwing some ideas out there and thinking about this now you’ve brought it up.
as a younger person (relative to the average freeper) we need to rebrand FR and get younger people participating here. There are a LOT of younger (20-45) people who are very pissed and want to be organized and get politically active and we need to appeal to them.
So, is it illegal to voice my displeasure with China by refusing to buy Chinee products? I have already not bought something at Costco and Wal-Mart that were made my Chinaman’s.
Thank you so much for kicking this off. I can’t thank you enough.
BUMP!
In fact, I'm pretty sure that was the first Freeper convention anywhere.
Probably better to do enlongated states like FL and TN in regions.
BTTT
Check out article.
Posted on wrong thread . . . again!

Very noble of you to assume the responsibilities with this undertaking. Although I wouldn’t want to spearhead a chapter here in GA, I would certainly lend a hand as needed and time permitting. I own a business and my time is limited to that and browsing the forum.
I sincerely think that Northern CA needs to break free from the rest of California. The time is right with the house voting on state hood for DC. I do not live there but I honestly do think now is the time for action. Pelosi would look even more hypocritical than ever if she does not support it.
Anyone know how to get this going?
I need to move. I am in a Dim NJ swamp of ignorance. There is no convincing anyone here. They are not able to move from the indoctrinated hole they have buried themselves in.
Is anyone running the DC Chapter these days? As I recall, it was one of our mot active ones.
