When Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) warned of a French Revolution taking place in the Democratic Party, liberals either mocked him or insisted that the French Revolution was good because it toppled a monarchy. Yet Graham’s warning came amid nationwide riots following the death of George Floyd — riots with more than one echo of Jacobin lawlessness. On Sunday, instigators camped out in front of the home of Jeff Bezos with that quintessential symbol of the French Revolution — the guillotine.
Drew Hernandez, host of the web show “Lives Matter,” shared horrifying footage of a guillotine in front of Bezos’s house in Washington, D.C. Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com and the world’s richest person, now owns The Washington Post.
A sign in front of the guillotine read, “Support our poor communities, not our wealthy men.”

I know Sen. Graham doesn’t get a lot of love on these threads, but he has a strong historical perspective on how revolutionaries eventually turn on each other.
Having done a fair amount of reading about both the French and Russian revolutions, I can see the parallels today. I fully expect internecine violence between now and the election. Apparently, we’re already seeing it in Seattle, Chicago, New York, and elsewhere.
We normals should keep our heads down for now. Our enemies might just save us the trouble of destroying them.
And, ultimately, another king.

THe guillotine is not “horrifying”, it is ridiculous.

I’d say 3 things. The obliteration of religion.
A wide variety of people have been killed with a noose.
A wide variety of people have been killed with a guillotine (Germany was still using it in the 20th century).
If you display a guillotine, people with French ancestry do not take it personally, not do they feel threatened or singled out.
But if you display a noose, it’s hate speech against blacks?
Ridiculous.

Hey, it's not really a guillotine because there's no basket to catch the severed head. So, y'know, Snopes, Factcheck, and the rest of the DNC infrastructure should get right on this disinfo.

Unless they are told “NO” in no uncertain terms ie stopped, they will keep pushing there actions further; after all, why not?
I’m all for sending Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, Soros, Ellison, Page, Bloomberg and the Waltons, to satiate the ravenous mob.

Constructing it themselves seems like more work than they’re willing to do.
The real slaughter starts after the revolution. That’s when the issue of who to trust becomes paramount. All revolutionaries betrayed their country, so what’s to stop them from betraying the new regime?

A point of fact I remind my children of daily. The leader ALWAYS gets rid of the previous revolutionaries because they cannot be trusted. If they did it once, they might do it again.
