To every American that was laid off and replaced by an H-1B, this is beyond a major insult. Many were forced to train their foreign replacements, if they wanted to earn a paycheck while they still could.

Low-pay workers from China and Ireland built the railroads. Low-pay workers from Russia and Italy built the garment industry. Scots-Irish exiles became the frontiersmen who fought the Indians and the British. African slaves cleared the land and grew the cotton, tobacco and sugar cane. British elites wrote the Declaration and Constitution. But none of them had H-1B visas, and none of them singly built the country. It was a joint effort over generations, by Americans, who were the synthesis of all these groups pulling together and learning to get along, which is an ongoing process.
And still American workers will vote for this idiot. I guess they don’t mind competing with foreigners while the unemployment rate is in the high teens?
