Willie Nelson to Headline Joe Biden’s $100,000 Per Person Virtual Fundraiser

Country rocker Willie Nelson is set to perform at Joe Biden’s virtual fundraiser on Monday.

Willie Nelson will join singer Robert Earl Keen as well as politicos including former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, failed presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, and former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards and the daughter of ex-Texas Governor Ann Richards. Biden supporters are expected to pay between $250 and $100,000 to view the Internet broadcast.

87 year old Willie on Tour 2019. Had to cancel as he was having trouble breathing.

In 2012, Willie Nelson revealed that he got another child, and he did not know about it until 2012.

“I have an old, dear friend Mary Haney, who I’d lost touch with but recently met again after decades,” the singer said. “Turns out, Mary and I had a child together called Renee.”

Renee now has a daughter, Noelle, and granddaughter, Jordan. Nelson said that his only regret is that he didn’t know about Renee, Noelle, and Jordan sooner. Willie Nelson’s kids have met and welcomed Renee. They had spent Christmas together.

I know little of Nelson's history, but don't think he ever claimed to be real cow wrangler nor a rodeo rider.

Some of his early songs he wrote, "Funny How Time Slips Away", "Hello Walls", "Pretty Paper", and "Crazy" (Patsy Cline hit). He wrote many other hits after that, so I give credit when due. He was/is one of the first of what's called, "outlaw country".

If you want to hear what he could do non-country, check out the "Stardust" album of slow old classic pop songs. Stardust was on the Billboard's Country Album charts for ten years. Never understood why it wasn't on the Billboard's Pop chart.

Willies fans were in the past country which were traditionally conservative. Deplorables were hated.

Have you noticed how the WOKE set (media, NBC, Hollywood, and multi million dollar celebs) have been trying to make country music woke ever since the assassinations at Las Vegas Country Music Festival by an assailant of unknown politics? Killers motive and intentions never exposed by FBI even though many questions remain.

Regularly NBC Today have country on their concert in the heart of NYC. There is a concerted effort by leftists to use (or plan and implement) every tragedy to their advantage.

My dad was/is a big fan, granted, we differ politically. Have seen him in concert a couple of times, last time with my dad. I think his draw was that his songs always told a coherent story. Current artists sing things like “dance in the bed of my pickup truck” five times.

Willie’s voice is GONE - last concert he talked his way through most of the numbers.

Back in the day, a friend and I were touring Salvador Dali’s home in Spain- just us two,no other tourists. She seemed jumpy, but I didn’t really notice anything unusual. When we got outside, she practically broke into a run, looking behind her frantically.

That was when I learned what frottage was. Apparently, our guide was rubbing himself on her backside every chance he got during the tour, while pretending to point out light, colors, etc of various paintings.

He wrote some pretty memorable songs waaaay back in the day...but forever he has been a very poor performer, and as you say, a crappy guitarist.
